[Hey Vatheonites. Yomiel is sitting in his chair in his apartment, looking smug. His eyes are covered by his sunglasses, as always, and he rests his chin on one hand, smiling at the screen.]

So, another year come and gone, huh?  In about a week or so, actually, I'll have been here for a year myself. Time really flies, doesn't it? So, just reflecting back on the year, I have to say-

I can't die because technically, I'm already dead.

[...What. WHAT WAS THAT. The words had just come out of his mouth without any thought behind them. He pauses, looking surprised, wondering where that even came from.]

Um. I...I didn't say that. I didn't say that at all. I mean, I went mad for a few years because of what I am and I always feel alone because of it.

[NO. He did not just say that OUT LOUD. His mouth curls into a confused sneer, and his body tenses as he looks around like a caged animal. Was somebody...possessing him? No, he would know. He's silent for a little bit as he looks around in Ghost World, but there isn't any telltale sign of a soul anywhere. He's alone.]

Okay, this isn't funny. Somebody is making me say thing that aren't true, and- I REALLY LOVE CUTE AND FLUFFY CATS.

[With a growl, he jumps from his chair and throws the SFC against the wall in anger, turning it off. He was the manipulator, not this place. Nobody could get the upper hand on him. Not if they valued their life.]

Which probably means that this is another curse. Just when I thought they were gone for a while...

[He smiles slightly and rubs Sissel behind his ear, glad for the company.]

This one's not so bad at least.

[Purrrrrrrrrrrrrr oh that's a good spot purrrrrrrrrr.]

At least we're not turning funny colors or anything.

Bad? It's not bad? [He let's out a bitter laugh, shaking his head.]

I just told the entire population of Vatheon about what I am. I'd take funny colors any day over, you know, outing myself.

Hey.

[He reaches up and puts his paw as far up to Yomiel's cheek as he can. Shooshpap, Yomiel. Shooooooshhhh pap.]

There's a lot of weird people here. It's okay. We're probably not even the strangest ones here.

[STOP BEING SUCH A GOOD MOIRAIL SISSEL SHEESH okay okay fine BI]

That's true. But still, it makes me feel...vulnerable. Telling things about myself like that.

That's okay. You can't be strong every way.

[No, never.]

But it feels like I have to be stronge when it comes to secrets like that. It's just who I am. Being known about is like announcing to the world that you're vulnerable.

[Sissel floofs up, ears back and tail held high.]

Let them try. I won't let people hurt you. You're my human, and my best friend.

[Action]

[A laugh.] I'm your human? It makes it sound like you own me as a pet instead of the other way around. But no, you're my best friend too.

You mean it doesn't work that way?

[Tease, tease~.]

Good.

[He settles down and purrs contentedly. His human is safe, Missile is running around somewhere... everything's going to be fine.]
