[She doesn't want to mess this up anymore, standing up, she reaches down to give him a small back rub, just trying to calm him a little bit, if she can manage that. ]

It's okay, really. When he was back in the veil, he didn't know if Aradia even liked him anymore, really. And Feferi was dead. So he hasn't really lost anything. They can be friends, and who knows, maybe he can have someone as a moirail, at least.

[ Feferi doesn't even wait. A distress call from Aradia is an immediate call to action! She isn't even fully dressed, lounging around her block in exercise clothes, and doesn't even bother to change. This is an emergency! She's already seen him once today, but this is different-- she knows exactly what Aradia was talking about. As she goes, she shoots off a message back:

Once she arrives, without even knocking, she enters the apartment and seeks Sollux out, but stops just short of opening the door. Admittedly, she's a little nervous. She's not mad-- she knew this would be difficult, and figured it would probably require both of them to have some pretty tough conversations with him. She's been prepared for this! She knocks, quietly, but doesn't wait for an answer to push the door open, sticking her head in. ]

Hey Sollux? Aradia asked me to come over.

[He groans and buries his face in the pillow. Aradia didn't tell him she was calling Feferi over!]

I'm fine. I'm trying to have a nap.

[Lies]

I know you can spare a little time to talk.

[ She seats herself on the edge of the bed and reaches out to squeeze his shoulder. ]

So Aradia probably told you about us, huh? Do you want to tell me how you're feeling right now?

[Wow, go away, can't you tell he's moping here???

He grunts softly]

I'm happy you two are happy together. And sleepy. And I want to be left alone for a bit.

[ She lets her hand wander upwards to run her fingers through his hair affectionately. ]

[Now he's starting to feel pretty stupid, but he's nervous and confused. Two matesprits? Hell, the idea is really attractive, but scary at the same time. How can this be happening? It just doesn't seem like it can be real.]

I want you both to be happy, too... FF this is weird, you know that, right? I mean, people don't have two matesprits. [He ducks his head, leaning into the caress and worrying at his lower lip] I don't want to ruin anything.

When do I do anything that isn't weird? And come on, you are Sollux Captor, duality is like, your thing! You're supposed to have two of everything, matesprits included!

[ There's never not a time for subtle meta. She takes a moment to kick off her shoes so that she can lay down next to him. ]

I don't know how it's going to work out either, but it's worth a try. And if it doesn't work out, at least we can all say we gave it a shot.

[He reaches out and paps her shoulder awkwardly, then scratches the back of his neck]

AA's probably mad at me... Do you think you could get her to come back?
