I have heard talk of another curse falling upon Vatheon. After my experience with the last one, I double checked for any irregularities upon my person but there seems to be nothing thus far.

This is an appeal for knowledge.

To my understanding, these curses seem to be a regular occurrence. I would like to document the frequency and other such pertinent information about them, if nobody has done so yet. For the sake of SEES, and everyone else... and especially him. To protect them all.

[She looks vaguely alarmed as the words left her mouth - why did she say that? But she quickly regains composure and ontinues.]

If there have been attempts to make such a record already, I would gladly involve myself in maintaining it. The locals have been taciturn about giving me information. Such resistance is borderline obstinate and rude - unacceptable.

[Mitsuru's eyes look off to the side, focusing on something out of frame. Where was this coming from?]

I am not sure what the curse is yet, but if it was anything dangerous, we would already have heard over the network, senpai.

I do have some information I can share ... They are nothing much, just general dates of the curses and its effects on people.

Curses happen roughly every other week, and last about a week each. Sometimes there's exceptions, namely when creatures choose to invade, but there's other times when the schedule turns out unpredictable with no real hint about why. Either way, something usually happens every other week, whether it's a curse or not. And if you want backup, I've been here since the start of the last earth year.

The locals aren't going to tell you a damn thing about anything, either. They are cagey assholes with all the obstinacy of people - I guess you would say born - for the role.

There have been some helpful people, but besides that there seems to be no pattern to them apart from their regularity. I think schedules are a nice way to keep things organised, I don't think I could live my life without one.

Curses are indeed a regular occurrence in this land. They vary quite greatly from curse to curse.

Yes, it seems that way. Even if we cannot ultimately tell what shape or form the curse will take, there is no harm in keeping a record for future reference. It may come in useful.

The past may give insight to the future. While I doubt it is possible to predict the situation of the next curse, insight on how to cope with or counteract it will be most useful in formulating strategies and countermeasures.

I couldn't have said it better myself, Lord Uesugi. Preparation is always better than reactive measures. Do you feel affected in anyway?

Indeed it is. I am unfortunately affected myself, though the effects seem minimal.
