Day 3 - [Accidental Video]

[The face showing up on the screen has got to be familiar to a lot of people by now, what with two other versions of it running about. In fact, since Roxas is wearing a generic black shirt instead of his Organization coat, it would be easy to mistake him for Ventus. A frowning Ventus. He has a look of concentration, or possibly annoyance.

He's trying to do something with the communicator, but clearly he doesn't realize it's already recording.]

I thought she said there was a list of people... Stupid thing.

No, but I just got here. I- haven't even run into my friend yet.

[ He frowns. ]

But I've not sen-- I mean I've been looking for him, and haven't found him anywhere.

[ He's not sensed Terra's odd and comforting presence of darkness mixed with light here yet. Riku's is very, very similar--but again, not the same. ]

[Ven can't be worse with technology than he is. He tilts his head at that "sensed" slip, but... sometimes people with hearts just do that, he guesses.]

Well... Maybe you got here first.

Not really. We don't have anything like these things at home.

[ The closest he's come to high-tech was in Deep Space--where he'd spent more time breaking things than learning how they worked. Ooops? ]

Maybe. I'll have to keep looking. It'd be good to see him again, and Aqua wouldn't worry so much.

[ People with hearts? Maybe. It's possible that everyone has a little bit of magic in them. A nice thought. ]

[Breaking things. That sounds kind of familiar.]

Really? Where do you come from? [ He hesitates only a moment. ]

We know other worlds exist because we're here. So what's yours like?

[ Roxas might find they have a similar temper, too. Short fuse. ]

Yeah. I've got a lot of friends. But Terra and Aqua are my best friends.

I'm from Twilight Town. It's- peaceful, I guess.

[A lot of friends. That part definitely sounds more like Sora.]

Really? Awesome! [ He'll need to visit. c: ]

I'm from the Land of Departure. It's peaceful, too.

Lots of mountains and lakes. [ You can make friends too, Roxas. :| ]

You have any other friends here than the one?

I've never been.

[He doesn't have the best track record here.]

Not really. Just- people I know.

[ This gets his attention. You're talking like you've done some world hopping prior to this place, too. So he'll insert innocently: ]

You can visit anytime you want.

[ Now that he knows you're not Vanitas. And, well. He'll help change it just a little. ]

Sure you do. We're becoming friends now.

[Since back home it's... not really up to him.]

He's welcome anytime too, but he doesn't need to be be with you.

[ Why'd Roxas even mention it? Ven headtilts, before grinning. ]

Well, yeah! Of course.

[Then he shakes his head, smiling slightly. This guy really is a lot like Sora.]

I don't really get it. But I'm sure [ Master Eraqus.] Terra and Aqua won't mind the company, either.

[ And he doesn't. Not yet.

But he is tactful enough to notice that this probably isn't something to be discussed in public, so for now he'll let it go. ]

Hey, it's no problem. [ Ven pauses, grinning. ]

So... did you want to hang out or something?

[ And maybe spar a little. ]

[Oh boy. That's bound to feel sort of... surreal, meeting his look-alike in person.]

...sure. That'd be nice, sometime.

Sometime? [ He laughs a little. ]

Gee thanks. Well, maybe when we're both a bit more used to this place.

[ Ven's over the initial shock now and thinks it's pretty cool to have someone who looks like him. It doesn't happen every day. ]

Can you fight? Maybe we can spar then, too.

I just meant- I need to find Axel first.

[Sheepish look.]

Fight? Yeah, I can fight.

Nah, I get it. It's okay. I need to find Terra, too.

[ That seems to cheer him considerably. ]

I'll find some wooden swords. It's been a long while since I've used one of those.

[ Maybe he could use a few more dents in one to prove he's still learning and getting stronger. ]

[Roxas looks both amused and a little baffled by the idea, until he remembers the struggle bats.]

I guess that'd work.

Why not? I don't want to dent my weapon.

[ Since he won't pull Wayward Wind out unless it's absolutely necessary. ]

Sure will. It's how I learned to fight. [ For the second time, anyway. The memory makes him smile. ]

Terra taught me.

Guess I kind of jumped right into things.

[Though it helped that he inherited some things from Sora.]

[ Who inherited everything from him. Something he'll need to remedy for one or both of you eventually. ]

You'll need to tell me about it sometime.

[ His grin fades, and he looks curious. ]

Let me guess... you're one of the Chosen, too, aren't you?

[ Wording it carefully, just like he did with Riku. ]

[Roxas blinks. The "one of" throws him off a bit; most people he's encountered have talked about the keyblade like it only has one real master, Sora.]

Well... yeah. You, too?
