[The feed begins and the image that appears on screen is that of a red headed woman, her normally fearsome demeanor tempered slightly by the haziness having been brought back to consciousness after a period of particularly deep sleep. Mitsuru takes a deep breath and starts speaking]

I apologise for anybody who was looking to get into contact with me, I fell asleep.

[That explanation would suffice for now. Surely the people who had been here long enough did not need more than that. She continues to address the network.]

Now that I have awakened, there are things that I need to tend to. Starting with the most mundane.

[Mitsuru's normally perfectly coiffured red hair is now longer and in need of attention.]

... I require assistance with my hair. It is longer than I would like and requires some tending to. Preferably at the hands of a professional. I would hope Vatheon has someone with those skills and are willing to assist me. Thank you.

[Mitsuru's quietly sitting in the lounge of the dorms, slowly getting used to the idea of being awake. Being asleep for such long periods of time is something she could never ever manage and for now staying awake is a task in itself.

There's a full cup of tea on the table in front of her, untouched and undrunk. She prepared it just a moment ago so the steam is still rising steadily from it. All signs point to drinking that tea being a good idea but Mitsuru's simply choosing to look at it as if she were in a daze. She could tell many things had happened while she was asleep so she was going to wait to hear an explanation from someone she trusted.

For the time being, Mitsuru's just going to have a staring contest with her teacup, as if she'd be able to divine some knowledge from it. Just like the mystics, except she doubted that the mystics used earl grey. Not like she was expecting any actual knowledge from it, but rather it was a game she was going to play to get herself to stay awake.]

It's nothing major, but the ends need seeing to.

[Yukari is pretty excited to see the video feed!

She's known people who have fallen asleep like she has, and she has even fallen asleep herself, yet it's no less of a relief to see them wake up again. She sees the background of the feed and recognizes it immediately, dashing out of her room and down the stairs.]

Senpai!

[...She might even be panting a little. But then she calms, breathing deeply before taking glancing over her from top to bottom.

Then back to the top again.]

...It could be worse.

[She grins a little, focusing on her hair now. Normally she'd be appalled at seeing her senpai in such a state, but...well, now she's just glad to see her again period.]

[It takes her a moment, but she laughs. The sound feels strangely alien to Mitsuru. Well, she hasn't used her voice in a long while, it would be, wouldn't it? A laugh most especially, but it sounds natural at the very least.]

It can be saved. I'm sure of it.

[But she's smiling.]

[The smile is warm and as familiar as ever, even though it's been a while. Yukari simply nods to agree, as she looks around the lobby; and the nshe spots something on the nearby table and grabs it.

It's a brush.]

At least let me comb it out for you, okay?

[She's not exactly a hair stylist, but she can at least do this much.]

You don't have to, but if you so wish I won't stop you.

[Because of it's length, it wouldn't hurt to have someone else do the bits that she couldn't really reach properly. She shifts onto the other side of the couch so that there's room for Yukari to sit beside her, her smile still in place all the while.]

[...Good.

She's glad to hear that, because this would be a whole lot harder if she was resisting. So gently, Yukari slips beside her and starts to comb the long red hair she'd always admired from afar.

It's almost a privilege to be able to do this, she realizes--

To see it up close and feel how soft it is. So many people at Gekkoukan would be jealous if they knew, yet for once she's not thinking about any of that.

...She's just enjoying her company.]

[Ah, that sleep-phenomenon. It seems to happen every now and then.]

Vell. You voke up again.

[Not commenting on the hair, though. Nope.]

[She sits there, pensive and docile as she allows Yukari to brush over the tangles in her hair. Yukari was being gentle as she eased out all the tangles and smoothing it down.

The company and human contact was something that Mitsuru missed dearly during her sleep and just to be near to another person was enough to make her happy. But the fact that it was Yukari made it a lot better.]

How have you been? I apologise for sleeping so long.

...Kirijo?

[Amane wonders if she's intruding, with how lost in thought Mitsuru looks.]

Ah, Herr Medic. I'm glad to see you are well.

[Thank goodness for that, but it's not like Mitsuru would have minded even if you did. You're a familiar face and it's always a delight to see those after a long absence.]

Oh!

[The voice was enough to snap Mitsuru out of her reverie, and she looks up from her tea cup.]

Amane. Hello. How have you been?

I've been doing fine.

[What, with mentally getting over that April's Fools and related worries. At least her boyfriend woke up from the sleep coma.]

...And you?

I am.

[He adds a nod]

Zhough I vould lie to claim I had not been vondering about your vhereabouts.

[Her face forms into an apologetic frown.]

I apologise for having caused you to worry. I'm fine now, as you can see. I just simply slept for a long time. It is nothing more than that, and hopefully I shall be staying awake.

[She finally brings herself to smile.]

But please, tell me how have you been?

I've just woken up from a rather... long sleep.

[She brushed a stray strand of hair from her face. It was very hard to read Amane on most days but Mitsuru was still determined to know the girl better. Gesturing to the seats, she indicates that Amane should sit down with her.]

[Minato happens to be walking back into the dorm not long after her broadcast. It's a common thing, him staying out all day before returning, and it has been back home and here as well.

But when he sees her sitting there, he tilts his head and wanders closer, hands in his pockets.]

...What does the future hold?

[: |b if you're gonna be staring into a cup of tea like that--]

Ach. Just zhe usual. Vork. Curses. New people...

[He sighs a little and taps the bridge of his nose.]

I... Agreed to haff zhe Heavy teach me in hand-to-hand combat for self defense.Now I doubt I can get out of zhat again.

[Just a little bit bothersome. Nothing else.]

[So concentrated she was in thought that she didn't even notice when Minato had walked into the lounge.]

That I stay awake.

[Delicately, she reaches forward to take a sip of that tea. Refreshing. As Mitsuru places the cup down, the smile on her face widens.]

It's a pleasure to see you.

[That's a pretty self descriptive name. She may be slightly worried for you.]

I can't say that I've ever met him, but there's nothing wrong with self-defense lessons.

[Amane sit down on one of the seats. She's getting better at expressing herself, but only around people she personally knows.]

Is it any different from a normal sleep? [She's rather curious about these sleep coma. She know some people who fell into them and awaken.]

[He coughs.]

Ja, Heavy. Heavy Veapons Guy. He handles zhe...

[Vague hand gesturing goes here.]

Heavy... Veapons...

[That's describing something with its name, yes. Good job, Medic. Have a short pause after that.]

Well... Ja. I zhought so too...

[Yukari seems pretty content herself.

To say she's missed her senpai is probably a bit of an understatement, since...well, Vatheon aside, the last thing she remembers of Mitsuru is them fighting together. Side by side, to the very end...just like she'd promised to do.

But they'd also lost together. So it's not something she wants to bring up right away.]

Nothing to apologize for, really. But...I've been okay.

[There's a bit of a pause, though; she's not even sure how to begin filling Mitsuru in on what she's missed.]

...Jeez. H-How long's it been, anyway?

[That'd be a good place to start.]

You seem unsure. Are you worried that perhaps he may injure you, being someone used to dealing with heavy weapons?
