video // action locked to the people at the volo dorms
[The feed begins and the image that appears on screen is that of a red headed woman, her normally fearsome demeanor tempered slightly by the haziness having been brought back to consciousness after a period of particularly deep sleep. Mitsuru takes a deep breath and starts speaking]
I apologise for anybody who was looking to get into contact with me, I fell asleep.
[That explanation would suffice for now. Surely the people who had been here long enough did not need more than that. She continues to address the network.]
Now that I have awakened, there are things that I need to tend to. Starting with the most mundane.
[Mitsuru's normally perfectly coiffured red hair is now longer and in need of attention.]
... I require assistance with my hair. It is longer than I would like and requires some tending to. Preferably at the hands of a professional. I would hope Vatheon has someone with those skills and are willing to assist me. Thank you.
[The feed ends.]
---
[Mitsuru's quietly sitting in the lounge of the dorms, slowly getting used to the idea of being awake. Being asleep for such long periods of time is something she could never ever manage and for now staying awake is a task in itself.
There's a full cup of tea on the table in front of her, untouched and undrunk. She prepared it just a moment ago so the steam is still rising steadily from it. All signs point to drinking that tea being a good idea but Mitsuru's simply choosing to look at it as if she were in a daze. She could tell many things had happened while she was asleep so she was going to wait to hear an explanation from someone she trusted.
For the time being, Mitsuru's just going to have a staring contest with her teacup, as if she'd be able to divine some knowledge from it. Just like the mystics, except she doubted that the mystics used earl grey. Not like she was expecting any actual knowledge from it, but rather it was a game she was going to play to get herself to stay awake.]

[Because of it's length, it wouldn't hurt to have someone else do the bits that she couldn't really reach properly. She shifts onto the other side of the couch so that there's room for Yukari to sit beside her, her smile still in place all the while.]
no subject
She's glad to hear that, because this would be a whole lot harder if she was resisting. So gently, Yukari slips beside her and starts to comb the long red hair she'd always admired from afar.
It's almost a privilege to be able to do this, she realizes--
To see it up close and feel how soft it is. So many people at Gekkoukan would be jealous if they knew, yet for once she's not thinking about any of that.
...She's just enjoying her company.]
no subject
The company and human contact was something that Mitsuru missed dearly during her sleep and just to be near to another person was enough to make her happy. But the fact that it was Yukari made it a lot better.]
How have you been? I apologise for sleeping so long.
no subject
To say she's missed her senpai is probably a bit of an understatement, since...well, Vatheon aside, the last thing she remembers of Mitsuru is them fighting together. Side by side, to the very end...just like she'd promised to do.
But they'd also lost together. So it's not something she wants to bring up right away.]
Nothing to apologize for, really. But...I've been okay.
[There's a bit of a pause, though; she's not even sure how to begin filling Mitsuru in on what she's missed.]
...Jeez. H-How long's it been, anyway?
[That'd be a good place to start.]
no subject
[It certainly has been a while, now that Mitsuru thinks about it. So many things can happen in the span of 30 odd days.]
You don't have to give me a report on what happened while I was asleep, I'm sure I can find out for myself what happened.
[Because she can sense something's a foot, even if Yukari isn't being completely forthwith about it.]
But if there's anything important that you feel requires my attention, I'll be glad to hear.
no subject
Well. Kanji-kun's slept for more than that, multiple times so she can't say she's...too concerned. At least she's awake now...but still she can't help but feel rather relieved.]
Well, no, I...I don't really mind giving a report, I guess. It's just kinda hard to know where to start.
[After a while longer, she seems satisfied with Mitsuru's hair, and after running her fingers through it once to feel how (relatively) smooth and untangled it is...she places the brush on the table nearby.]
Things have been pretty slow for the past week or so, but...it was pretty crazy towards the end of the month.
no subject
[Crazy, hm? The bubble decided to throw up these kinds of things ever now and again, didn't it? Mitsuru's been here long enough to feel slightly weary of all these gimmicks and fish puns.]
Thank you.
[When Yukari was finished, she ran her own hands through her hair. It still irritated her that it became this long in the first place, but thanks to her friend it was suddenly a lot more manageable and presentable. Not to mention that her presence and actions had been gentle. Comforting. Reassuring.]
I'm more interested in knowing how you're doing, rather than what the bubble's been up to.
no subject
[Yukari repeats, like she doesn't know; or as if she's never heard such a thing before. She doesn't really consider the two mutually exclusive anyway, since what the bubble's been up to usually determines (at least in part) how she's doing.
...So she's looking thoughtful on how she should answer.
She wants to be honest, though she doesn't want to dump everything on her on sight, either.]
Well, mostly all right. Th-The natives caused a lot of trouble for what was supposed to be a harmless prank, but...we took care of it.
no subject
[She's not going to pry unless Yukari's ready. There's something there, something that is bothering her. But Mitsuru's too refined and polite to outright ask.
It's not like there's a lack of time, anyway.
But only when Yukari was ready.]
no subject
[Now that she thinks about the prank, though, it did take place on the first of April, didn't it?
April Fools'.
Following March 31st...
It had been the day they all strove to see again so much, after being trapped in the Abyss for so long, and she wonders if Mitsuru remembers any of it. She never did ask, because she had come to Vatheon after Minato made his choice.
And at the time, she thought that's all she had to know.]
S-Senpai, I do have a question, though.
no subject
[Mitsuru smiles gently and spreads her hands as if to indicate that Yukari should go ahead. Never mind the fact that she just woke up from a very long sleep. If it was something she could help with, then she'd definitely help to the best of her ability.]
no subject
[She trusts her, she trusts her with her life--
So she supposes she should just go ahead and ask, and see what kind of reaction she gets.]
Does the date March 31st mean anything to you?
