[ considering there are no apparent unwanted side-effects on the residents in particular during this curse, it is decidedly safe enough to utilize the network—! ]
Good evening, Vatheon. As many of you may have noticed, the structure of the communication devices ordinarily used has significantly changed.
[ it is almost like he is using a working cellphone again. ]
I would like to confirm the scope of these changes. To the unseeing eye, it would appear to be something akin to a modernized technological upgrade— a GPS, translator, and games are all available now among other functions. Curiously enough, there is an included add-on for a weather forecast that is entirely ineffectual. [ this is odd because there is usually weather— albeit not within the barrier. ] If anyone could also confirm the current status of the island for me I would be very grateful.
[ and returning to the run-down— ]
In actuality, this is not an upgrade, but a transformation; that much should already be evident by the change in shape alone. The construction is different— unlike SFCs, these can be taken apart with no damage if you're careful enough. There is also a card slot within the device that serves an unknown purpose.
The most interesting change would be within the formatting options. Note that there is now a "dream" function available... one that I am somehow unable to utilize. If anyone has any further information, it would be appreciated.
Lastly, if anyone is feeling a bit daring, I have a favor to ask.
Thank you.

[He's probably not being mocking there.]
But...a favor?
Video;
So then the effects are as all-inclusive as I had originally assumed.
[ he's probably going to logically view the title as sarcasm considering he doesn't remember telling this kid his profession, but he takes it overall as a compliment. PEOPLE SHOULD CALL HIM THIS, YES. ]
Yes, but only if you can stand to forgo your network usage for a little while.

And he tilts his head BUT HE CALLED YOU THAT BECAUSE YOU WERE SO GUNG-HO ABOUT FINDING WALTER YO

I wouldn't mind, no, if I can help out somehow. What do you need?

Blah, blah...short is, our SFCs changed into something a little better to work with. I'm not complaining.
What's the favor?

[ except for the non-impactive stuff, like the games feature— but maybe minene was talking about getting her bomberman fix all along... ]
I'd like to test whether or not the durability has been altered along with the new structure. I'm afraid I can't ask you to do this for me though; it's important for us to remain in contact.
[ he would've asked her first, otherwise. he just needs somebody either stupid or insignificant at a time like this okay— where's kousaka when you need him. ]
video;
[Are you going to be a slowpoke today, Akise? Really? Get with the program. She's always wanting to get her bomberman fix; she's always trying to find a way to get to it.]
Damn. Here I was, thinking I might get to do something interesting. [Why do you keep taking away all the fun in her life, Akise.
...She might blow it up anyway.]

I've been wondering about the transformation of the devices as well. I suppose there's no records of this happening before, or it'd have been mentioned. [He pauses, taking the time to look over the communicator as well.] Maybe we'll see later what the "dream" function really means.
voice;
[ which sounds ridiculous in theory, but i mean really— the devices transformed overnight how's that for ridiculous. ]
voice; that moment you could've sworn you did this tag already...
If that were so, would we then be able to look into the dreams of others? A bizarre thought for technology to have suddenly advanced so much.
voice; congrats!!

I still haven't tried out the "dream" function myself, so I have no information about that.
What kind of favor will you ask? If a new arrival like me can be of assistance, let me know.
[ V I D E O ]
I'm interested in the results of a full-on deconstruction of these devices. It was impossible to either damage or disassemble the old models, but you can at least do the latter with these. I'm curious about the damage aspect, if it's even possible.
[ yeah he wants someone to try breaking one of these... ]
[ V I D E O ]
Oh, are you wondering if I would willingly destroy the device to see what is made of?

[ There's a moment of sound though as he's looking over the Dreamberry. ]
However, if one were to consider this a permanent transformation rather than one to end in a week's time... [ Trailing off for consideration. ]
Nonetheless I must thank you for your observations. It seems this device differs from our local SFCs.
voice;
It may very well be a curse. [ that actually might help explain the sudden transformation shtick as well, though he can't confidently sort things in vatheon based on the level of abnormality— the entire place was constructed of it. ] It's strange that it would affect only the communication devices, but then again that might be the whole point. Either way, they want us to utilize these...
[ yet there are fuctions included that don't even seem to work. what is the point? ]
voice;
[ Still looking his device over with the slightest scrutiny. ]
I suppose how it truly differs from the SFC will come over the course of the week. We shall have to see then.
However, I must admit, the entire affair has me baffled.

Though to be honest, I'm a bit more curious about this favor of yours.
[What does he plan to do about these new phones?]
voice;
And I'm currently looking for someone willing to damage their own device.
[ he's seen furious people attempting to break the old devices on the network before okay, there's gotta be someone willing.. ]

It seems you've already examined the new device thoroughly. [Not that that's surprising at all--] ...So tell me, what is it that you need?
video;
Yep. I take it you've experienced the same changes. I'm looking for someone willing to test the durability of these changes.

I'd like to know what happens if the device is damaged— if it's possible, that is. The old models were indestructible, but this one can be taken apart to an extent. Either the full technological contents or the ability for these to be destroyed...both are knowledge to be discovered.
video; (sorry for the lateness; had to ask the mods about this one)
Yeah, I took it apart already. [No big deal, right?] The battery says "Dreamcore" or whatever that means, and aside the main circuitry, there's this cylinder thingamajig with rainbowy-colored liquid in there, too. I'm not quite sure what it's used for though.
[But then she's pinged by his last request.]
A favor? Ooh, pick me, pick me!
video; (it's cool!)
You've more or less just provided a majority of the information I intended to observe with the favor— I've been inquiring if anyone might be willing to break their own device, assuming it's possible. Are you experienced with this sort of thing?
