[The dream begins with Chibiterasu standing in a strange field before a tall, long-dead tree. Waves of darkness roll by, steeped in black and deep red tones, and a heavy sense of foreboding bores down around him. Nature itself appears to be wounded... Cursed, you might say.

Suddenly, the world goes sepia tone, and what seems to be his tail(?) paints a thin circle of ink around the branches of the tree. All is still for a moment, and then...

After the restoration, a hodge-podge of short, non-connected events take place, most of which involve Chibi playing with his friends in the fresh air of Shinshu Fields! These five losers show up intermittently, but for anyone that's met Chibi before, the most important thing to notice is that you have shown up too! That's right, every single friend he's made here in Vatheon makes an appearance, either napping or playing a game or eating or, well... anything really.

The dream eventually ends, though as Chibi rolls over and casts a lazy glance at his communicator, it's obvious he doesn't realize it's on yet.]

[Well, this one's a refreshing change! At least not everyone had a nightmare. Just watching the restoration makes Hiro smile.

Though, he's surprised to see that the one dreaming is actually a... little puppy wolf! Even the animals here have a communicator?]

[Hiro is greeted with a very detailed view of the inside of Chibi's mouth as he yaaaaawwwns-- then realizes with a start that there's someone talking to him! He rolls into a sitting position, peering down at the screen.]

Arf! [Hi, stranger! It was a very refreshing sleep, yes. c: ]

[The dream is a much more peaceful one that the others have been this evening, and one she nearly glanced over before she realized what sort of dream it was. To be restoring life to the world that darkness and death began to overtake, to be reunited and playing with those who are considered close...

She is silent as a fog settling in, dressed in a white kimono as she lay on her own bed to rest until he begins to stir...]

What a beautiful dream you have, child.

[He graces her with a lopsided grin, slowly nodding in agreement with the statement. It was a pretty great dream! All his friends were there-

And then he sits up with a start, looking at his communicator in confusion. She saw it? His dream?]

[Oh... how sweet.]

[The fact that the network is sharing the dreams of the populace has Mitsuhide very unsettled. There are dreams, nightmares, that he does not want anyone else to see. Why worry his friends?]

[This dream, however, draws his attention purely because of how light and lovely it was compared to that of most others. It draws a smile from the samurai's lips.]

The fields in your dream are very beautiful, little friend.

[Mitsuhide! In his dream, you and Chibi appear to be... sparring? Chibi has equipped his oft used sword, and though the style and movement is strange, you have no trouble giving just as good as you get. The fight is magic-free, of course; Chibi has no intention of "cheating" his way through by using his painting!

It's an odd match, and it's clear neither side is trying very hard to "win." No blow lands in such a way that it could cause even the slightest injury. The event fades before the end can happen, likely because Chibi doesn't know if he could beat you in a fight!

[Mickey! In this part of the dream, it looks like you, Chibi, and a family of mice similar to Chibi are sharing a picnic meal under the shade of the cherry blossom tree. If you look closely, you'll spot living brooms tidying up the area and serving drinks (that broom incident really stuck with him...).

Oddly enough, the eldest mouse seems able to talk! He addresses Mickey and, in the most polite and dignified manner possible, asks if "you have any children of your own." The dream fades from there.

Chibi looks a little sheepish at the compliment. Being told he's cool or cute or any of that is always awesome and he can't help but be smug, but being told he's good at, well, being the sun... He can only hope so! It's his job after all, and not something he expects to be thanked for.]

[Rinoa was about ready to go down for a nap herself, but when she saw this, she couldn't help but comment.]

Is that what your world looks like, little guy?

[Rinoa! He finds her presence to be very calming, so it's only natural that in this part of his dream the two of them appear to be... taking a nap? Yes, he is dreaming about sleeping of all things, curled up safe on her lap and looking extremely content. Amaterasu is here too, playing the important role of "pillow" for Rinoa's head.

It's been some time since he felt this safe.

Chibi's tail wags excitedly when he sees her- now that's a face he could wake up to every morning.] Arf! [Isn't it pretty? His world?]

[Oh wow, that's definitely quite a sight to see! From the restoration of the fields to watching Chibi playing with his friends.]

Wow puppy! You're pretty amazing. [Amazingly cute.] And you're quite an artist too!

Roo? [Quite an artist? Does that mean his communicator broadcasted even that part of the dream, where his painting healed the tree?

Chibi crowds close to the screen, looking incredibly hopeful at the compliment. His eyes are sparkling...]

[Masaru is just sitting there, staring at everything, kind of in awe of it all. But it's a good kind of awe]

[Masaru! For this part of his dream, it looks like you and Chibi are climbing that massive cherry blossom tree he just healed. It's incredibly dangerous, but with the two helping each other they manage to make it to the top after only falling into the river below like... five times! That is a world record for dogs and kids trying to climb a tree, let me tell you.

It's tiring, but the view from the top is magnificent and definitely worth the effort. Later, a strange tree sprite scolds them for climbing her tree and helps them get back down. The dream fades out from there.

Chibi takes notice of Masaru's intense stare... and promptly begins staring back. Communicator staring contest!!]

[Yukari grins. Well, she knows that this thing can record dreams by now, so she's very interested in all the ones that have popped up. What a gorgeous field...

He really does have the same powers as his mom.]

Where are we, Chibi?

[Baw, he's so cute when he's just waking up...]

[Yukari! In this part in his dream, it looks like he's giving her a tour of Shinshu Fields, with the help of these cuties. He guides her around, past the entrance of Yakushi village and down toward the pottery kiln by Hana Valley (and the hippie of a potter there insists she take a freebie, no he insists, really), then finally arcing back through the trees and toward the lake.

From here they're afforded a fantastic view of the sun setting over the water. Just as it's about to end, Chibi uses his brush to reset the sun's position... just so they can all watch it again. The dream fades after he attempts a third sunset and Yukari gives him a good scolding for messing with the daylight like that.

[Now that he's discovered dreams are being broadcast, Roxas is curious-- but at the same time he doesn't really want to eavesdrop on something like what he dreamt. But, he can't imagine this little guy having any kind of nightmare.]

...guess dogs do have good dreams.

[Roxas! In this part of his dream, it looks like Chibi and Roxas are exploring the Shinshu Fields at the fastest pace possible- with him riding atop Chibi's back.

Riding?

Not exactly sure how the physics of this are supposed to work but hey, it is a dream. Chibi grew, or maybe Roxas shrank, or maybe even both of these things! Regardless, Chibi is tearing up the grasslands in his effort to show his new friend absolutely everything as quickly as possible, perhaps a bit too quickly considering he doesn't notice that tree branch until it's entirely too late and-- whoop! He trips over it, sending them both tumbling to the ground by the river bank. The dream fades with him poking at Roxas' prone form and whining apologetically.

Chibi smiles when he notices you on the screen, though he makes no other attempt to move. Remembering Roxas' part in his dream makes him feel like going back to sleep for some reason.] Wuuf.

[Unless prompted, Walter isn't the sort to check the SFC -- now a Dreamberry -- on a regular basis. He'll skim on occasion, but he'll only suffer using the device so often. He simply has no business in it.

That changes, however, when it turns on of its own accord and he hears his own voice coming out of it. Or it could be someone with a similar voice, for what little he catches sounds nothing like him in tone.

Nevertheless, this necessitates an investigation, and he picks the thing up to glance at what's going on -- ]

[Walter tunes in just in time to catch himself, Chibi, and some weird fish girl(?) down by the lake. The two are apparently trying to teach Chibi how to swim... with mixed results. He inherited his mom's terrible swimming skills, ahaha.

Walter is uncharacteristically helpful here, though his manner of speech and overall teaching method is as terse and hands-off as ever. Still, with his instructions and the young girl's support, they manage something that sort of looks like success. Almost.

It seems that even in his dreams, Chibi really isn't all that confident he'll ever learn to swim properly.]

[She smile at his dream, but she's a little surprised to see herself in it.]

That's such a nice dream.

[Amane! In this part of Chibi's dream, you, him, and this young priestess are having a picnic by the riverside at high noon. The food choices are fancy, to say the least, giving the impression that either Chibi or the strange girl has some serious cash to burn.

The other girl makes a complaint about trying to keep her figure while Chibi is doing his best to get the both of you to eat more food. The dream sequence fades with Kagu getting into a playful argument with him, disdainfully calling him "Pooch."

Chibi sits up when he sees Amane, stopping mid-yawn upon hearing his stomach gurgle. Embarrassed, he curls up on himself and hides his face, lifting his paw ever so slightly to peek at the screen. Maybe she didn't hear that?]

[Oh, he recognizes that dog. And he's interested in the process that's happening to the landscape of the dream- it reminds him of what happened to he Junkyard, only in reverse. As always, he's curious, but the answer probably isn't something that can just be explained in yes-no format.]

[Gale! In this part of Chibi's dream, it looks like you, he, and two weird bugs(?) are having a discussion over sake, sometime in the evening judging by the stars in the sky. Their voices barely rise above a murmur, but, whatever it is they're saying, it looks like you're getting the answers to the questions you have. Too bad none of it can be heard...

Life is cruel sometimes. :( The dream fades when the green bug loudly challenges the orange one to a duel, and they start duking it out.

[ This... is a really nice dream, aside from landscape Chibi was standing in at first. But otherwise, the entire thing warms Ven's heart. He's not surprised to see that it's a wolf (or a dog?) dreaming here. But he will be surprised if he can't talk. ]

Can you really do that, in your world? [ He's stuck on the beginning bit, and he's in awe. Then he grins, and adds: ]

Your heart's gotta be a strong one with how many friends you've got there, boy.

[Chibi looks a little confused at first. Isn't he already having a conversation with you, Roxas...?

But, no, if he really thinks about it, your voice is more... chipper? Yeah, he's gonna go with chipper. Plus the clothes are completely different! He feels a little silly for not noticing it sooner.]

Arf! [He nods, tail starting to wag a little. He could do it here, too, if there were a Guardian Sapling lying around! For now though, it's just growing flowers.]
