✽Thirteenth Post - Voice✽
[Filtered from Gamzee]
[Mrs. Brisby's post is hesitant and shaky at best. She decides not to go with video, to try and keep her composure, but her voice is very obviously wavering. She's trying to be strong, but it's not easy. With Mother's Day having just passed, she's dwelling on a very difficult subject.]
Are there any other mothers, here? Or even fathers, I suppose.
...How are you coping with not seeing your children?

Nothing good comes of an aggressive husband!
[voice]
[voice]
[Aaaaall the dramatic eye rolling!]
My husband was a good man. He was very clever, but he never raised his voice or his hand to me or our children.
[voice]
[Ambiguous faithfulness to her aside!]
He's gentle and sweet and helpful...[all the dreamy siiiighs~] I miss him so much.
[voice]
I wouldn't settle for a brute, even with Johnathan gone. Even if I didn't have my children to consider!
[But she may or may not have considered a particularly charming rat, back home.]
[voice]
My kids...geez, my kids, they think he's actually a good guy after all. That can only mean he's never been in their lives.

[voice]
Oh! What... what if that's where your children come from? From a charade like that? How dreadful!
[MRS. BRISBY YOU ARE NOT HELPING]
[voice]
[She didn't reeeally want to pull more complicated timeshit into this, but it's rather inevitable.]
And it doesn't sound like something I'd fall for, I mean...he's not very good at it. Being nice and all. It just looks awkward when he does it.
[voice]
[voice]
Nope, just a grouchy guy from a planet of grouchy people that are born to fight. So he's more like a soldier than anything else.
[And a prince, so technically politics, but she doesn't know that part yet.]
He's not really dangerous here, though. My son and my best friend's son are both stronger fighters than him.
[voice]
A... planet? I think I've heard that word before, but I don't recall what it means... and... I've heard of a soldier, but I don't know much of what they do.
[voice]
A planet is what we live on! It's a big, biiiiig world out there--and we're not even the only planet in existence! Although Earth is one of the only planets that have life in our...um, corner. [Tossing around words like "galaxy" and "universe" might be bad.] As evident by this place, anyway.
Soldiers...they're people that follow the orders of one or more person that's in charge of them. It can involve defense, direct combat or--well, mass killings in his case.
[voice 1/2]
[voice]
M... M-mass killings? He's a murderer?
[voice]
He's probably destroyed whole planets before. He probably would have destroyed Vatheon itself if he had a way to get off-planet and if my son wasn't stronger than him. Thank goodness I raised him right.
Even before I got here, someone from his group killed my best friend. It's like I said, Miss, he's not to be trusted under any circumstances.
[voice]
[Oh... oh poor Mrs. Brisby. Such a simple life you used to live...]
[voice]
Really--everything will be okay.

[voice]
[She sounds... so distraught! What she wouldn't give for a friend who isn't so... so... comfortable with things that should be respected and feared!!]
