[Even before the video turns on there is a scream that rips through Vatheon with the force of 8,000 shattered windows.

Zoom in on Vriska and the nicely timed video feed that just turned on to show... a fish tail? But it's not any fish tail- it's a mermaid tail. Covered in blue scales of a familiar cerulean shade it's connected to the owner of the previous screech, Vriska. She's currently too busy trying to control herself on her bedroom floor than pay any attention to her wayward device. She looks between horrified and extremely angry.]

What the fuck happened to me?!

[By now Vriska is already at the lake thanks to Darkleer. Currenly perched against a partially submerged rock she checks her messages to see Kanaya's text.]

Im On My Way

[And soon enough, Kanaya arrives at the lake. She looks positively Nautical; blue trousers tucked into sailors boots, a red sash for a belt, and a loose fitting linen shirt... that features a very low cut v neck. Why, with the cuffs on those boots, you could almost say she's dressed somewhat piratical.]

[But her odd clothing choice today isn't the most attention getting change. Her skin is soft and pink, not the white glow that she has been afflicted with, and not the hard grey of a troll. She's also missing her horns, having been turned into a human.]

[Vriska surfaces a moment after Kanaya arrives, head poking out of the water to study her new changes. The only indication of her own changes are the glimmer of blues scales under the water.]

That's not a bad look for you, Kan!

[Kanaya was transfixed for a moment, stunned with inaction and silence. She eve noted to herself how odd it was that she felt compeled to freeze and watch Vriska rise from the water.]

Thank you. It's not exactly my normal style but for some reason it just seemed nice. I take it you have gotten more accustomed to this curse's effects now? You seemed very distressed earlier.

[The tips of her tail break the water as she smirks.] Like hell I have! This is still a pretty shitty curse. At least you got away from it looking actually good.

[An overt complement like that would normally incite a bit of blush and bluster in Kanaya, especially coming from Vriska Serket. Right now though, she just shows a perfect smile, impossibly white and even teeth.]

Thank you for saying so, but I think you look very good yourself. After all you're mostly the same from the neck up.

[She walks up to the edge of the water and sits down, holding her knees in front of her.]

Can.. I see what the rest looks like?

[She's just smiling still, looking away briefly when Kanaya smiles. So weird!]

Huh? [She looks back, but shrugs.] Yeah, sure. [Pulling herself up on the rock beside Kanaya she pulls out most of her tail, curving the rest of it out of the water for her to see.]

It's such a bother!

[Don't mind Kanaya, she just kind of... staring... and blushing.]

Yeah... sometimes inconvenience is a price you pay to be aesthetically pleasing.

[yeah, she's just going to continue grinning up at her.] Suuuuuuuure! It's okay, Kan you don't have to say it out loud.

[She starts to slide back into the water.] Wanna go for a swim with me?

[She nods, kicking off her boots. A second later she's diving into the water with seasoned ease. She's a bit distracted by how easy that was, actually. Kanaya has never gone swimming before. In fact, the surprise at her newfound skills is enough to distract her entirely from the fact that she just got into the water while wearing a simple white linin shirt, and she isn't wearing anything under it. Oops.]

[She surfaces in the middle of the lake, smiling and enjoying the novel experience.]
