[Even before the video turns on there is a scream that rips through Vatheon with the force of 8,000 shattered windows.

Zoom in on Vriska and the nicely timed video feed that just turned on to show... a fish tail? But it's not any fish tail- it's a mermaid tail. Covered in blue scales of a familiar cerulean shade it's connected to the owner of the previous screech, Vriska. She's currently too busy trying to control herself on her bedroom floor than pay any attention to her wayward device. She looks between horrified and extremely angry.]

[Karkat decides to go voice for this route, if only so that Vriska can hear the rare sound of laughter from a pair of familiar and over-large lungs.]

I am almost willing to forgive you for nearly reducing my auricular sponge clots to a bloody pulp now that I get to see this. Thank you, Vriska, for the gift of laughter. It has wormed its way into my cardiovascular system and this day is now slightly less shitty.

[Kanaya was just trying to understand her own transformation at the time. Quite a surprising thing to find yourself without your horns, or with soft tan skin. She was just laughing a little to her self about the circumstance in her life that would lead her to think it was odd that she wasn't glowing. She was digging in a closet when it happened, and the lights just seemed to go out, leaving her in the dark. It wasn't too long after this though that the video feed came on, and something overcame her. Vriska needs help. No, she's in danger.]

[Kanaya ran out of her shop, surprised to find that she could not move as quickly as she used to. Being a rainbow drinker certainly did come with some advantages, and now that she was without she certainly missed them. As she runs through the streets in the direction of Vriska and Feferi's hive she flips open her SFC and types a quick message.]

[By now Vriska is already at the lake thanks to Darkleer. Currenly perched against a partially submerged rock she checks her messages to see Kanaya's text.]

[And soon enough, Kanaya arrives at the lake. She looks positively Nautical; blue trousers tucked into sailors boots, a red sash for a belt, and a loose fitting linen shirt... that features a very low cut v neck. Why, with the cuffs on those boots, you could almost say she's dressed somewhat piratical.]

[But her odd clothing choice today isn't the most attention getting change. Her skin is soft and pink, not the white glow that she has been afflicted with, and not the hard grey of a troll. She's also missing her horns, having been turned into a human.]

[Vriska surfaces a moment after Kanaya arrives, head poking out of the water to study her new changes. The only indication of her own changes are the glimmer of blues scales under the water.]

[Kanaya was transfixed for a moment, stunned with inaction and silence. She eve noted to herself how odd it was that she felt compeled to freeze and watch Vriska rise from the water.]
