This week has been weird. Everyone's been really awkward. Even when I talk to the store owners, I end up saying stuff I don't mean.

I tried to kill one of my teammates and he ended up saving my life.

I... uh...

I didn't think I was going to live after I killed him.

[............ There's a sniff, as if he's going to start crying, and then he clicks off the SFC.]

She doesn't even bother answering that text, then; instead she tucks her SFC back into her pocket where it's usually kept, and she slips down to the second floor, making a beeline for Ken's room.

...Knock, knock, knock.]

[He opens the door, face still a little red in embarrassment but otherwise okay.]

... Hi.

...Hey.

[She stares dumbstruck for a moment, blinking once, before releasing a heavy sigh, holding close to her heart the reason that she's here. She tries to smile, to hopefully make him feel more comfortable at least.]

Um--mind if I come in for a bit?

[She was kind of getting mixed signals earlier. But...well, it'll be harder for him to say no this way, anyway.]

[H-he can be tsun if he wants to be. ;w; ]

I... sure.

[He steps aside so that she can get in. The room's not decorated much, though there's his spear and some DVDs and comic books scattered around.]

[Yukari steps inside, suddenly feeling like maybe she hasn't thought this through. But...she could tell that Ken needs a friend.

Maybe everyone could, this week.]

I know I'm probably not too high on the list of people you wanna talk to right now, but...I figured one of us might as well tell you.

Because what you did...we don't hold it against you, Ken.

[She thought that'd been clear, but maybe not.]

[... He sighs, and rubs his face again.]

I... I know. But I thought you would. And I want to get over it.

But I'm not even a teenager and I tried to kill someone.

[She shakes her head.]

These...These things take time. I'm not even sure I'm completely over it, and...I barely got a chance to know him.

[And then she pauses, thinking back on Shinjiro.

And that bastard Takaya; because it was him in the end, not Ken. And surely he remembers that.]

He wouldn't want you to beat yourself up over it...and I don't think Akihiko-senpai would, either.

... I know.

[He takes a deep breath, and tries not to cry again. He's not a little kid. He's not he's not he's not...]

I just... the world isn't fair. I just want to make it fair. Why can't things just go like they're supposed to? I hate it. I hate that bad things happen to people who don't deserve it. It's stupid and random and it's not right.

[She can see he's on the verge of crying again...and Yukari isn't the best at being gentle with her words. But she does try.]

...Th-the world's never been fair, though. I mean...I'm not sure we'd even be stuck here like this, if it was...

[She looks around the room.

And silently wonders whether he even remembered what his room back at Gekkoukan looked like anymore.]

But that's something we've got to deal with. Together...y'know?

[Because they're a team. And a bit of timeline confusion and a brand new home couldn't even change that, it seems.

Not with Minato around.]

... Yeah. I know.

[Deep breath. One day at a time.]

This curse is stupid.

Heh.

[Well, that's at least something she can agree with.]

Maybe we should avoid our communicators for a while until this works itself out.
