[Ruca can't stop thinking about his conversation with Chitose. Even though the two do not agree with each other, they didn't argue and the conversation itself went pretty well.

Despite all of that, Chitose's words were what bothered Ruca so much.

There are people who fear us Avatars and we do not have a place to live.

Ruca sighs. Chitose is right. He knows she's right, yet he would rather never admit it. Not to her, nor to anyone. He wants to believe that something can be changed. He even has an idea what to do, but still...

Chitose didn't want to believe him. She told him she couldn't believe in such a hopeful world.

After a few moments of staring into nothingness, Ruca takes his SFC and says:]

A world where everyone are treated equally... A world without wars... Do you think such world could truly exist?

...Well, the same ideas apply.

It's noble to want to stop unfair treatment of others. But prejudice isn't something that is taken away easily. As much as you might want to, you can't just change people's minds.

[That was such a dejected response! Guy's voices softens.]

You've got good intentions, I'm sure. The best one person can do is just aim for the happiness of others. Stick up for those that are being mistreated, help those that need help.

It might not cause a lot of change, like a new world. But if it helps improve the lives of others around you, then it's worth the hard work, right?
relinquishing: (In the end it's for your own good)

[Voice] I am the worst and just realized Ruca was a dude. WHOOPS I GUESS I CAN'T READ.

I'm sorry to hear that... [He pauses for a moment.]

Hm. Just because you're treated differently doesn't mean you shouldn't stop trying, though.

I know that's probably harder than it seems. But who you are doesn't change the amount of effort you can put into things. It just changes the reaction you'll receive. There's no shame in hiding, and if you have to fight, then fight with all you've got.

Even if all you can manage is an attempt to try and keep hope alive with those that are like yourself. Like Van did with me. At least it's something.
relinquishing: (☼ that horse in the ground)

[Voice] Darn you, Androgynous Tales characters, stop confusing us.

That's the spirit.

Sometimes fighting is just a part of life. But it means you get to live another day and keep trying.
relinquishing: (☼ to dance with)

[Voice] (Whoops backtagging forever - yay slowatus)

Is there any reason why? Fear? Mercy? Do you just not give a damn some days?
relinquishing: (Default)

[Voice] (YAY more backtagging)

...Is it difficult to say?

[Well dur, that's obvious, from the way the guy is stuttering. But still--]

[Well damn, if that doesn't sound really, really familiar.

Guy exhales deeply before he speaks again.]

Death is a part of life. As much as we want to avoid it, as much as it destroys countries and tears apart families -- [Whoops, taking a second to recover from that statement.] --sometimes it just has to happen. There's nothing wrong with death for the sake of defense. And hiding from it just makes you a target in the end.
relinquishing: (☼ I can never leave)

[The truth hurts, man.]

It's not an excuse if it has to be a necessity for life. Sometimes it's not worth trying to figure out whether it's right or wrong. Unless you're playing with the lives of innocent people, or the fates of entire nations. Then you'd better have a damn good reason.
