So, I've been thinking, and it's come to my attention that we live surrounded by water. Which brings me to a question for everyone:

How many of you can swim?

[He stretches his arms out in front of himself before letting them fall at his sides.]

I've also been thinking of what I'm going to do here, and I'm not sure what. But since I have a lot of spare time now, if anyone wants swimming lessons, I'd be happy to teach you.

Since it seems...kind of important and everything.

[Forgive the man if this is annoying, but it's rather hard to work the SFC when all one has is a memory of how it looked like and how things worked, he's still attempting to match the memory up with the object he's holding in his hands. Ignoring, partially, what he's been told by a certain man after hearing Riza growl at him about feeding him misinformation.

So, when he first attempts answer this, there's feed of a man looking down at the camera, but not actually looking into it, the eyes are obviously not focused on anything. Despite this he doesn't speak, and abruptly the video vanishes, though the audio remains. Following is the sound of someone walking, the sound of a body hitting something solid, a small sound of pain and then finally the muffled talking between a man and a woman.]

I wouldn't mind learning more about it.

[God only knew when this place would decide to show its perverse sense of humor again by dumping him back into water.]

[He blinks, pretty certain the guy he's talking to is blind.]

[Tidus would be correct in that. Unfortunately it's a rather recent occurrence, so he's still learning just how one actually lives without their sight.]

Roy Mustang. Might I ask who I'm speaking to?

Tidus, Star Player of the Zanarkand Abes! That's a Blitzball team, Blitzball being an underwater sport, so I'm good at this.

I would think you'd have to be to be able to play under water. What is exactly is Blitzball?

[He's got nothing but time on his hands at the moment, so might as well satisfy his curiosity.]

It's a sport where you have two teams compete against eachother to try and get the blitzball into the other teams goal. There are six players per team, and games usually consist of two five minute matches with one break.

You're capable of staying underwater for that long without air?

[voice]

[blitz_acing]

I have air. It's in my lungs.

That air runs out though doesn't it? How can you hold your breath for so long? Practice?

[voice]

It's a matter of learning to slow down your heartrate and only distribute the air as you need it. It takes years of practice, and you have to relax.

That makes sense. Very interesting. I imagine that being able to do that can come in rather handy in other situations as well.

It can. I've had to fight underwater before, so it really helped then.
