If I may inquire, Vatheon. How common are these... sleeping spells? I've fallen into one rather recently and much to my surprise, so has my young master. No attempt to wake him seems to come to fruition which has led me to wonder if this is something due to the city entirely.

[ And a sigh as he dusts his hands. ]

I suppose this means I have a bit of free time on my hands.

[ Another frown comes to his brow however. Because the concept of a day off is rather novel to him, truth be told. Now that he doesn't have to prepare any meals or balance any books. ]

What indeed could one do on a day off?

My master is alright, to say the least. However... he seems to have fallen under sway of said sleep spells. Despite the fact the doctor has assured me this is a common occurance, one can't help but find a measure of concern. As I said. Unique circumstances.

From my observations, the sleeping spells are quite frequent, but not too widespread. They generally last up to one month, in most cases.. though I've witnessed a particular anomaly that lasted nearly two. I'm not certain what triggers it.

My apologies, Mister Tatsumi. It seems you misunderstand. I was merely reminded of the situation as per my lord's circumstances: a sleep that can't be awoken no matter what one would hazard to try.

However, embarrassing as it is to admit, I too was subject to this.

The city holds far more surprises than it originally presents. These sleep spells so to speak seem to target us foreigners at random and for durations not longer than several days to a month. I'm certain there's more however this is all I've managed to uncover for myself.
