[Roxas appears on the screen, looking unsure of himself for a moment before taking a breath.]

Um... I wanted to apologize to a couple people for last week. I said some stupid things and- it was probably really frustrating.

I've been thinking about having some things of my own, and... I think the last day of summer would be good for a birthday. It still seems weird to just pick, but- I guess I've gotta turn 16 sometime.

[He pauses, looking like he has something else he wants to say, but his cheeks pink a bit and he just turns off the feed.]

That's because Demyx is weird. [Clearly this is the best explanation. He shrugs and looks away, hands on his hips. Sure, it's a nice thought, comforting, even, but--He has to think realistically.]

Anyway, as long as we're trapped here without our hearts, we'll never know the right answers.

[Is that really all it is? ...Roxas doesn't think so. Sure, Demyx is weird, but maybe he figured something out. Roxas wants to think he can figure it out, too.

But the more concerning part of what Axel says is that he seems to want to go back.]

[Ever since he's been here, he hasn't felt quite right. He knows there's nothing much for him to return to if he goes back to their World, but...

He hums a bit in thought. Then,]

Mm, then again, it's not like going back or staying here will make that much difference. [He's smirking a bit even though the subject is just so... dark. If they go back, they won't have their hearts, and if they stay here they won't have their hearts. Either way--]

[For Roxas, it makes a huge difference. Going back means he doesn't exist and Axel dies. Staying here means... they're here.]

[It's something Roxas hasn't really wanted to talk about either. It scares him, and it hurts a little, too, that Axel is determined to go back to that. But--

But Roxas isn't going to let him. If he has any say in the matter, if the time ever comes when they can choose to go back, he's not letting it happen.

[He doesn't want to upset Roxas, especially since they really don't have anything here to argue much about, so he drops the topic and with a sigh he just nods.]

Guess I'd better go find something to wear for tomorrow, then.
