[Rin looks surprisingly distant and thoughtful today. He's lacking his two usual modes - growling and pissed off or cheerful and derpy. He's just sort of... there.

As much as he wanted to believe it wasn't going to bother him, what Maka revealed is getting to him. And it's not even necessarily the relation to the other two that's bothering him. It's more the other questions he has on his mind.

But for the public post, he has a purpose aside from that.

Hey uh... if anyone wants any free lunches already made and you don't wanna bother with the lines at the restaurants today, I grabbed a buncha leftovers from the ball we had frozen and made some. I got way more than even everyone in the Villa is gonna eat, so I figured I'd just give 'em away.

[He holds one up. It's got a rather interesting assortment, not strictly Japanese since there was a pretty good assortment of cultures represented in the food at the masquerade. But whatever, they still look damn good. And Rin has enough bento boxes behind him on the counter to feed about twenty people. How the hell does he do that?

[Rin holds up a picture Amaimon.]

And he's harassin' you or whatever, just send him my away, okay? I'll deal with him.

[He pauses, then continues with with quite a bit of reluctance in his voice, with a tone of some one who is struggling to accept something but knows that he has to sooner or later.]

Just... just tell 'im "little brother" is lookin' for him.

[He goes to turn off the SFC, but stops and frowns, switching the filter one last time.]

[Rin quirks an eyebrow up.]

[Rin grabs one of the boxes and wraps it up, grabs his sword and sweatshirt and turns off his SFC after snagging it from the counter.

He's coming for you, Alister.]

You're going to break into your friend's apartment.

[What was that, Alister? Can't hear you. Walking.]

[And a few minutes later, Rin is at the apartment, staring up at it trying to figure out the best way in.

One would think to try the front door, but just like Alister and his attempt to get Rin to chill out when Kohaku wasn't doing well, Rin goes right for the window.]

[And the Lombax is waiting inside, but... Rin, he's got a little extra surprise for you, should you successfully break in.

Because that's not his usual glove over his hand.]

[Rin ties the wrapped up bento box under his sword case and starts shimmying his way up the pipe next to the window, stopping only to open it and start slipping his way in, not even thinking that Alister already has a plan in place for this.

He drops in and straightens just in time to see the Lombax in the room.]

... tch. Waitin' for me? Changed your mind 'bout lunch already?

[There's a sly smile on the Elder's face as he rises, not turning to face the boy just yet. But as he rises, the light shines on something in the Lombax's dis-coloured glove, and he tosses it a little in his grasp.]

No, I just had a feeling you would try to come anyway.

[He stops, and the furred corners of his mouth twist into a smile and he looks over his shoulder.]

Though, I have a question. Do you like music?

[Rin sees it, but even leaning to the side doesn't give him a very good angle of it. He blinks at the question, still scowling a bit.]

.. yeah. What's that gotta do with anything, though?

Oh... nothing. Unless you count-- this!

[And all at once, the Lombax spins around and chucks what looked to be a... disco ball?

Yep.

You just got Groovitron'd, bitch.]

... what the hell is that supposed to be--

[Wait. Why is he--

His feet. Are moving on their own. And he's...]

H-HEY! WHAT THE FUCK?! ALISTER! TURN IT OFF! AUUGH!

[Yup. Rin just got Groovtron'd.]

Ha! Maybe now you'll think twice before sneaking up on a Lombax!

[But ohhh he's just going to sit back and watch the show now.

Because nobody catches General Alister Azimuth off guard.

[You win this round, Alister. He's not stopping until that damn thing shuts off, no matter how much he hates it.

[You're lucky it's got a time-limit, Rin, because it isn't long before the Groovitron comes back down in an explosion, ending the music. That said, the Lombax sets the glove aside and folds his arms over his chest, watching the boy.]

[Rin just stands there, snarling and twitching with his tail going full speed behind his back.

He kind of looks like an angry cat, doesn't he?]

Perhaps now you'll learn to listen to your elders?

Che! Baka jiji... I'm still leavin' this goddamn lunch here! Even if you do just waste it!
