1st Combo - [video]
[The video comes on in a jolt of motion, which stills to a skewed image of pavement, buildings, and a soaking wet teenage boy clad in red and black lying on the ground. He winces as though he'd just hit the ground. Hard.]
Oww...
[Pushing himself up off the ground, he rubs his head.]
Is everyone all...
[Wait. Something's wrong. He looks around the plaza with clearly growing alarm, but still not at the SFC.]
Guys? Where is everyone?
[And where in the world is he?!]
[OOC: I'm up for action or network replies. Either works for me!]

[Let him keep talking, Duke. That won't stay just a feeling for long.]
no subject
Several have been here for some time.
no subject
[He shakes his head.]
Look, just don't give up. The minute you do, that's when you're really stuck. Dwarven vow number sixteen: You can do anything if you try.
no subject
... what are Dwarves? [ He's not sure if that's the correct pronounciation for the plural of something "dwarven" but.
Yes. He was more interested in a potential new being than Lloyd's we can do this speech. ]
no subject
They're a different race from humans. They're pretty short, and most of them live underground. They're really well known for how good they are at mining and blacksmithing and making or customizing things. You don't see them very much, though. I've only met two, and my dad was one of them.
no subject
Lloyd doesn't quite seem to be half anything that's not human, even if he does feel a bit weird as a human. ]
Assuming not of birth; father dwarven.
no subject
[Lloyd isn't really sensitive to magic at all. The flicker goes completely unnoticed.]
What're Kritya and Soul Smiths?
no subject
A guild and another race. Kritya are humanoid, marked out by longer ears, tendencies toward hair colors such as blue or green. [ A pause. ] And antennae.
no subject
[Yup, still thinks this is somewhere on Sylvarant, even if it's in the ocean.]
no subject
Some. Blank staring. Do you need your ears cleaned, teen-in-red? ]
Thought had said that this was not upon where you thought it was. It is not of Terca Lumireis - where Kritya and Entelexeia are as common as humans, nor is it your Sylvarant.
no subject
So, wait. [Suddenly unsure.] You're saying this is Tethe'alla?
no subject
no subject
This is another world? There's more than two?
[Which, well, if there's even two, why not more? But he'd never thought about it before.]
That's amazing. So, wait, Terca Lumeris. That's a different world, too?
[Still not quite getting that name.]
no subject
Correct. I am of Terca Lumireis. Or would a past tense be correct... ]
no subject
Huh. I wonder how many worlds there are...
[Probably not an answer anyone knows.]
I better be careful, then, once I figure out how to go home. I don't want to end up in the wrong world by accident. Who knows? I could end up in yours.
no subject
. . . . It's not working. ]
... something that would likely be better not to pass.
no subject
Yeah, no kidding. Thanks for the warning.
[He glances at the guy, then around the area again, still hoping to spot his friends.]
I should probably get going. If any of my friends made it here with me, who knows where they are right now?
no subject
Likely finding locations to dwell - free, simply find a building with rooms you wish to occupy.
no subject
Wait. Lloyd thinks he's got it now.]
So everyone's free to choose where they want to live? There's no discrimination?
[Someplace that doesn't discriminate. He definitely approves of this.]
no subject
he decides against it. Someone else can explain that. ]
no subject
I'm glad. We should all get along and work together, no matter what we are or what world we're in
Hey, thanks, you've been a big help. I should get going now, thought!
assuming "though" not "thought" XD XD
He's not sure.... ]
No trouble. [ And Duke will turn to walk off then. ]
Uh, yeah, h-haha. XD
[It isn't until well after they've both parted ways that it occurs to him that they never did introduce themselves. He only thinks about that for a moment before he shrugs it off, though. Whatever. He's not about to give his name to a guy who won't tell him his name in return.]
no subject
And Duke totally would have given his name. if Lloyd had given his first. So helpful. ]
