Hi, everyone! I'm sure some of you already know, but that Thanksgiving Holiday is coming up again! I know there are a lot of people here who already have plans, but I got to thinking, and, well ... I know there are some people here who don't really have anywhere to go for the holidays.

So! Who doesn't have anywhere to go? Or, who doesn't have any plans already?

I was thinking maybe those of us who want to can set up a Thanksgiving potluck somewhere in the city, so that people who don't exactly have a place to go and want to celebrate their holiday with somebody can still come by, have some food, socialize with people ... that sort of thing. It's never fun to be alone on a holiday that's all about togetherness, after all.

That said ... any takers? Does anybody like this idea at all? If we all work together on the food and festivities, I think we could really make the holiday special for everybody!

I learned about the holiday last year, actually, since we don't have anything like this back on my home world. The holiday in general is about spending time with your loved ones and having a huge feast, and being thankful for everything and everyone in your life. I'm pretty sure there's a story behind it, but I can't remember the details right now ...

I'd say go ahead and bring whatever you feel like! I know there's traditional food that is usually served at these things, but I don't think it would hurt to bring anything outside of tradition. We'd be thankful for whatever we can get together anyway.
