What are someways one can... attempt to better their own mood?

[ It takes him a little longer than it might if he had actually walked steadily from Ordo to the house - he did have a point where he was severely tempted to turn around and just. stay in a corner until he got hungry.

But he more or less shook that feeling off because here's a quiet knock. ]

[Is waiting for Duke when she hears that knock. She goes right up to open.]

Good evening, Duke. Come on in.

[ Duke kinda just nods a little in reply to that, looking about to tell if he's supposed to shed his shoes or not as he steps in.

Does he look that uncomfortable 'i've been sleeping but its not really resting' and a bit thinner? O o p s. ]

[She smiles gently at him and ushers him inside, shoes and all. And as she looks at him, she does notice he's not looking very well.]

[ And... he's clearly not-quite comfortable with being here. Talk? He's bad enough about that with simple things. This isn't a simple thing and how does he even attempt to start this... ]

[She looks at him thoughtfully for a moment.]

Please, take a seat Duke. I will be back in just a moment. [And she disappears through a door that will lead to the kitchen to bring the tea. Honestly, not having a butler... Oh well...]

[ He'll do that, then. just... take a seat. Waver a little while waiting like he's thinking about going back home, but ultimately staying put and studying the floor as if it was the most fascinating thing.

Or maybe not the most fascinating, because there isn't that much interest to the way he's looking at the floor but still. ]

[It doesn't take her long to come back. Honestly, she's afraid Duke will bolt at any moment. He just looks so nervous to be there.]

It is earl grey tea. I hope you like it. [She hands Duke a cup and shows him the sugar and milk.] You may add as much as you want.
