A replacement for your weapon might be found in one of the various stores. You are most likely to find one in the Nostalgia Nook, but if you are new, you may not be able to afford it immediately. As for a place to sleep, there are hotels available to you, but if you intend to search for a more permanent place, ther are various kinds of housing. All are free.
