It seems as if the arrival cycle is over now. Allow me to extend a belated welcome to everyone who was pulled into Vatheon this past cycle. My name is Zelda, and I work with the Welcoming Committee here. Please drop by if you have any questions about our current situation as foreigners in the city. You are also free to ask me here, though there are some topics I would prefer to not discuss over the network.

I would also like to encourage new arrivals that are capable of fighting to look into joining the Defense Force. While things are generally peaceful here, there are some dangerous situations from time to time. Death is not permanent in this place, but it is still rather traumatic and we should do our best to avoid having it happen. If you are interested, please get in touch with Serph or Ky Kiske.

Well, all things considered. Missing my friends terribly, but I suppose that's to be expected.

I'll just have to wait for them to arrive next time and give Kuroh an earful about being late!

You seem quite confident that your friends will show up here.

[How odd.]

Kuroh is very persistent. His stubbornness could very well cross worlds. And Neko would be lonely without me around to cling to.

[And a King needs his Clansmen, after all.]

I won't pretend like I have any sort of powers of precognition, but I can say with confidence that I won't be alone for very long.

You may be correct regardless, at any rate. The city seems to take a particular interest in certain worlds from time to time.

So I've heard. There is some one from my world here, but calling him a friend is... quite a stretch.

But his presence gives me hope at any rate.

You would not prefer to simply return home and be with your friends there?

[It seems strange for someone to hope for their friends to arrive so soon after showing up in the city. Unless Shiro or the friends he has in mind are already dead back home...]

Home is... in a bit of a predicament at the moment. I don't know how things are going to turn out, but... well, to be honest I fear for the worst. The way things are going, I may have very well set in to motion events that can only be fixed by me.

[He won't say how he set those events in to motion, or when, or even how he can fix them, but his voice has certainly lost that chipper tone it had earlier.

All the things he could never tell Kuroh, because he knows that the Black Dog would sacrifice himself if he knew how Shiro was planning on ending the war.

There's a faint sigh from his end, but after a pause he breaks in to another smile.]

I consider it a vacation!

[By which he means one last chance to be with his friends before it all ends.]

[Ah, so there was trouble on his world. Zelda smiles gently, not asking for further details.]

There are some people here in the city that would prefer to stay. It is not a terrible home. I hope that you enjoy your time here.

[Good. That's a very long story with nothing but sad ends. Or would-be ends.

He's grateful for the lack of prying, and the smile cheers up quite a bit at that.]

The arrival cycle begins on the 22nd of every month. Is there anyone you would like me to keep an eye out for?

[An unfortunate series of events had her keeping to herself for the past while, but when she's feeling like herself Zelda keeps an ear to the ground fairly well and is often among the first to welcome new people to the city.]

I do feel that I should warn you that it is possible for them to be from a different point in time than you are.

... I see.

[That could be... troublesome, but he'll deal with that as it comes.]

Well, there's Yatogami Kuroh. Should be easy enough to spot. Long black hair in a ponytail, carries a sword, often too serious looking for his own good. Wonderful chef, might I add! You could always harass him to cook something for you for putting you through the trouble of keeping a look out for him.

Neko... might be a little more complicated. She's a type of being known as a Strain - meaning she has the ability to switch between a human-like form and that of a small white kitten. If you see her in her human form, though, she has pinkish white hair, and one blue eye and one green eye.

[And he's really hoping she actually shows up with clothes on.]</small.

[Zelda seems to be taking the job of keeping an eye out quite seriously, going so far as to take out a notebook and write down a few notes. The comment about forcing Kuroh to cook earns a smile.]

It is really no trouble to keep an eye out, I would not want to impose on someone who just arrived. I will contact you if I see either of those people.

[Shiro will just do all the imposing then. Zelda might get the gift of a bento lunch or something similar after Kuroh shows up.]
