It seems as if the arrival cycle is over now. Allow me to extend a belated welcome to everyone who was pulled into Vatheon this past cycle. My name is Zelda, and I work with the Welcoming Committee here. Please drop by if you have any questions about our current situation as foreigners in the city. You are also free to ask me here, though there are some topics I would prefer to not discuss over the network.

I would also like to encourage new arrivals that are capable of fighting to look into joining the Defense Force. While things are generally peaceful here, there are some dangerous situations from time to time. Death is not permanent in this place, but it is still rather traumatic and we should do our best to avoid having it happen. If you are interested, please get in touch with Serph or Ky Kiske.

The Defense Force is certainly a good place to start! We conduct patrols around the city to keep an eye out for anything dangerous or particularly odd. You have combat experience?

[Mamoru thought back to everything he learned from his comrades, about "the oath sworn through courage" and also, everything he learned about his lost civilization, as a sad face began to form.]

I use my abilities to save and protect people. even using them against anyone and anything who might threaten who I'm trying to protect. Through courage, I swore an oath. If I can't protect a new home, I'd never be able to face my friends again.... if I ever saw them again.

I also know some basic rescue procedures, too. I learned those from my friends as well. evacuating people from dangerous areas, and I know a little first aid.

Evacuation and first aid would be extremely helpful. When joining the Defense Force, one typically lists their abilities and duties they would be comfortable undertaking. Serph or Ky will place you accordingly. Be sure to be clear with your preferences if you have any.
