It seems as if the arrival cycle is over now. Allow me to extend a belated welcome to everyone who was pulled into Vatheon this past cycle. My name is Zelda, and I work with the Welcoming Committee here. Please drop by if you have any questions about our current situation as foreigners in the city. I would also like to encourage new arrivals that are capable of fighting to look into joining the Defense Force. While things are generally peaceful here, there are some dangerous situations from time to time. I am doing well, thank you. I hope that things have been going smoothly for you, as well. We do see each other far less frequently since you have moved from your old hive, don't we?

I will be certain to do so. It seems a little counter-intuitive, but the scientists here generally pull land dwellers in for their experiments rather than sea dwellers. The amount of people here that can function properly underwater is low. Still, I should have enough tunics for nearly the entire city at this point. I plan to distribute them relatively soon.

I'vve got to admit, I havven't been open to my neighbours much, but the Grand Highblood's left the neighbourhood, so that helps.

I'vve noticed the same.
Seems like most a the people I meet can barely keep their heads abovve wwater.

He did leave rather a big mess, but I have cleaned it up at this point.

I will! I wish that they helped a bit more with the pressure regulation issues, but they seem to be sufficient for the depth the bubble is at for sufficient periods of time, at least. Not long enough to permanently live underwater, but long enough for a quick fight or to get to the surface if needed.]

I have magic and quite a few housemates to help out with the task. We simply connected the two houses since I have visitors fairly often. One of my housemates enjoys keeping animals, too, and I would prefer to not have them indoors in the main house.

I suppose it's true that there is no reason for us land dwellers to live permanently underwater, but I'm actually growing quite adjusted to it. It would be a shame if something happened to the bubble and most of us had to move to the island.

It is not too oppressive. I do prefer to be able to properly see the stars, but the fish make for some interesting scenery as well.

That is certainly true. Typically I do, it has just been a bit chilly for my tastes. That can be counteracted with magic to some extent, but I do prefer warmer weather.

My body's adapted to the cold, but I'll admit that snoww isn't exactly comfortable for me, either.
Wwarmer-blooded races an trolls havve evven more trouble, so I'd believve it's fuckin' uncomfortable.

Oh? That is unusual. Do you have some sort of thermo-regulation? I thought that cold-blooded races were typically dependent on the ambient temperature to regulate their own and that the cold might cause some sort of hibernation.

The hemospectrum is more than just blood colour.
Each levvel a the spectrum has a cooler natural body temperature than the one beloww.
For one like me, wwe are adapted to survvivve in the depths a the ocean, wwhich is colder than the surface.

Ah, I think I have been told this before! It makes sense, as the colors themselves get cooler the higher up you go.
