Video: Public Service Princess
It seems as if the arrival cycle is over now. Allow me to extend a belated welcome to everyone who was pulled into Vatheon this past cycle. My name is Zelda, and I work with the Welcoming Committee here. Please drop by if you have any questions about our current situation as foreigners in the city. You are also free to ask me here, though there are some topics I would prefer to not discuss over the network.
I would also like to encourage new arrivals that are capable of fighting to look into joining the Defense Force. While things are generally peaceful here, there are some dangerous situations from time to time. Death is not permanent in this place, but it is still rather traumatic and we should do our best to avoid having it happen. If you are interested, please get in touch with Serph or Ky Kiske.

Howw are you?
You can still direct those wwho aren't complete failures at defence to me if they're able to swwim.

I will be certain to do so. It seems a little counter-intuitive, but the scientists here generally pull land dwellers in for their experiments rather than sea dwellers. The amount of people here that can function properly underwater is low. Still, I should have enough tunics for nearly the entire city at this point. I plan to distribute them relatively soon.

Maybe wwe'll see more a each other evventually.
I'vve got to admit, I havven't been open to my neighbours much, but the Grand Highblood's left the neighbourhood, so that helps.
I'vve noticed the same.
Seems like most a the people I meet can barely keep their heads abovve wwater.
But those tunics are a good help, so I encourage you to keep wworkin' at that.

He did leave rather a big mess, but I have cleaned it up at this point.
I will! I wish that they helped a bit more with the pressure regulation issues, but they seem to be sufficient for the depth the bubble is at for sufficient periods of time, at least. Not long enough to permanently live underwater, but long enough for a quick fight or to get to the surface if needed.]
no subject
You should a told me, I'd a helped you wwith that.
[i.e., he'd have told Psiioniic to clean it up, while he supervised]
No reason wwhy the land glubbers ought a livve permanently under wwater, though.
They're more than sufficient for emergencies or defence, an that's wwhat wwe need them for.

I suppose it's true that there is no reason for us land dwellers to live permanently underwater, but I'm actually growing quite adjusted to it. It would be a shame if something happened to the bubble and most of us had to move to the island.
no subject
So you'vve taken ovver the house beside?
I wwonder, there's a little thing I lost in there an I should ask, did you find a fin ring ovver there?
[No, because GHB is wearing it, sorry Dualscar.]
I do prefer the bubble, myself.
I had the impression it might be a bit confinin to one not used to bein' under the pressure a the ocean, but I'm glad to hear I wwas wwrong about that.

[She's been fairly close to the Highblood. She's even ridden on his hand before. If he mentioned the item, she might even remember it.]
It is not too oppressive. I do prefer to be able to properly see the stars, but the fish make for some interesting scenery as well.
no subject
I doubt he wwould a left it behind, in any case.
A ring like the other ones in my fins.
Wwell, you can alwways go up an see the stars any time you like.
no subject
[She likes Dualscar well enough, but there's no way Zelda is volunteering to retrieve a trophy from the Highblood. Sorry, buddy!]
That is certainly true. Typically I do, it has just been a bit chilly for my tastes. That can be counteracted with magic to some extent, but I do prefer warmer weather.
no subject
Oh wwell, it wwas just an idle thought.
[Don't worry, Zelda, he wouldn't ask her to do that, for a multitude of reasons]
My body's adapted to the cold, but I'll admit that snoww isn't exactly comfortable for me, either.
Wwarmer-blooded races an trolls havve evven more trouble, so I'd believve it's fuckin' uncomfortable.
no subject
Oh? That is unusual. Do you have some sort of thermo-regulation? I thought that cold-blooded races were typically dependent on the ambient temperature to regulate their own and that the cold might cause some sort of hibernation.
no subject
Each levvel a the spectrum has a cooler natural body temperature than the one beloww.
For one like me, wwe are adapted to survvivve in the depths a the ocean, wwhich is colder than the surface.
no subject
[Until the seadwellers at least, but she hadn't been able to get an explanation on that out of the Grand Highblood beyond "motherfuckers".]
no subject
It's nothin too difficult to understand, evven for an alien, I'd think.
no subject
It is not difficult at all. Well, I will be certain to contact you if I find anyone proficient in both swimming and fighting, Dualscar.
no subject
Other than all a that, howw are you doin, Zelda? You ought a come ovver sometime, Signless an Psiioniic wwill probably be glad to havve you.
no subject
[And what if Sola's there? That stops her from visiting Signless more often.]
no subject
I wwouldn't be surprised if you like him wwell.
no subject
If you are quite certain, then that would be lovely. I will find a good tea blend and bring it over sometime!
no subject
I'm absolutely sure, trust me.
A neww tea blend wwill probably make his wwhole fuckin night.

[And watch your mouth, you aren't one of those indigo bloods, are you?]

[With high blood comes the ability to swear without anyone getting to tell you it's wrong]
