Video: Public Service Princess
It seems as if the arrival cycle is over now. Allow me to extend a belated welcome to everyone who was pulled into Vatheon this past cycle. My name is Zelda, and I work with the Welcoming Committee here. Please drop by if you have any questions about our current situation as foreigners in the city. You are also free to ask me here, though there are some topics I would prefer to not discuss over the network.
I would also like to encourage new arrivals that are capable of fighting to look into joining the Defense Force. While things are generally peaceful here, there are some dangerous situations from time to time. Death is not permanent in this place, but it is still rather traumatic and we should do our best to avoid having it happen. If you are interested, please get in touch with Serph or Ky Kiske.

[Surely there's a balance between the two very different ways of living. She just hasn't found it, yet. Even though Gamzee is the one following, it seems like they're still making steady progress back towards his hive.
Zelda knows where you live, Gamzee.]
[action]
[Shit, he has a stalker.
Also, you know, it is a bubble. There is only so many places he can live, and it is not exactly like the chocobo-horse stables are any sort of subtle.]
So, who's the bro what you be wanting to pie up at? What's he like?
[action]
[She's obviously very fond of him. Too fond, considering the fact that she's seeing someone. Don't call her out on it, please.]
[action]
And if anything, he'd peg it for a pale thang, anyway.]
Sounds like my good bro Tavros. Ain't all like to be a fuckin' beast what does be walking this motherfuckin' world like what don't take a shine to the motherfucker, I reckon. Except the book thing. That's be more like Karkat's fuckin' schtick there. Brother can get real locked down all on what the letter be speaking to him about.
[Not Gamzee though. He likes books with pictures. That pop up. And move.
Maybe he likes movies. Yeah, that's it.]
[action]
Books can be quite fascinating. I get a bit lost in them myself! But at least I remember to eat.
[There's fondness in her voice even if there's irritation present too. Duke's habits are a bit cute, really.
Her arms are getting a bit tired, so Zelda's glad that the store is a relatively central location and Gamzee's hive is just on the horizon.]
Here we are! Should I take off my shoes once we get inside?
[action]
[It's not a habit he sticks to completely faithfully, nor does he expect it of others. But when reminded of it, it is actually nicer to go around without shoes on, isn't it? Give your footstubs some breathing air and all.]
[action]
I've met a few people who prefer it, and it does help keep the floor clean. Where is the kitchen?
[action]
[He kicks off his own sneakers. He doesn't even notice her losing a little bit of height. He already towers so much over her that going from short to slightly shorter is just nothing that catches his eye.]
Come on, it's here.
[And, if nothing goes wrong, he'll lead her happily to the big kitchen/dining combination they have.]
[action]
[Zelda has noticed that the scientists seem to have some sort of obsession for pulling humans from Japan, so she's studied the culture a bit.
Those scientists are clearly weeaboos. She starts setting out the ingredients they've gathered.]
Your kitchen is very nice!
[action]
Yeah, that's where he got to hailing from.
[He watches her set down the ingredients. He sure never does it that neatly.]
... been a good fuckin' while since he been here. This was all like his fuckin' hive first, you know?
[action]
[She'll be cleaning the counter a bit, too. Her smile grows fond. She keeps mementos of those who have gone too, but never an entire house. Gamzee must have cared for this person quite a bit.]
If you keep him in your heart, I'm sure you will meet again.
[action]
Wasn't in the possessing of having no other place to go at then. And it got to being my hive much as it were his when we both fuckin' lived here.
Motherfuckin' truth of it all be, I didn't wanna leave, had me some fright that I would all be about forgetting what the motherfucker meant to me, you know? I never want to forget him.
[action]
You will not forget. Even if it becomes something you cannot recall consciously anymore, someone who has shaped your life so much will always be present with you.
[action]
Yeah?
[He likes that idea. He'll have to remember it! Even if he probably can't ever say it as nicely as Zelda. Big words and all that.]
He was my moirail, you know? Right motherfuckin' pitying that you couldn't all get to laying level with the bro. He was the best. You'd have digged him.
[Of course he is still very biased and thinks everybody would've liked Wataru. Just like he thinks everybody would like Karkat, long as they get used to him.]
[action]
[All right, area cleaned, ingredients laid out and ready to go! Zelda turns to Gamzee.]
Well then, what should we do first?
[action]
[come on, Zelda. You look like the kinda lady who would appreciate a long
hard
list of ingredients and baking instructions.]
[action]
thick
instruction manual.]
Oh, I would love to! I am not all that good at visualizing what a recipe will turn out like, but it would certainly be helpful if I selected something appropriate for my skill level.
[action]
[He pushes away from the table to amble to one of the drawers at a relaxed pace. This is his recipe drawer. Nobody else ever opens it, for good reason.
That reason mostly being cause Gamzee has the organizational talents of a brain dead mussel. He certainly has a bunch of recipes. Which he, you know, keeps on loose sheets of paper all randomly shoved in that drawer. He digs them all out for Zelda, dumping the whole load on the counter, watching them slide everywhere.]
There.
[action]
Gamzee, ah, how do you access a particular recipe when you need it quickly? Or is this just a drawer full of dessert recipes...?
[action]
[Why is this wrong?]
[action]
All right, deep breaths. It's rude to reorganize someone else's home.
...it's not reorganizing if she starts making separate piles in an attempt to find the cake recipes, though. That is totally fair game.]
I'll just separate out the cake recipes for now, then.
[action]
Sure thing.
[action]
Let's try this one!
[action]
[He was gonna say the stuff, you know, the bowls, the whisks and other miscellaneous cookery shit that I cannot mention for it would surely betray my state as a none baker, but his words cut off when he, while pushing away from the table to go collect the aforementioned cooking paraphernalia, he knocks one of Zelda's neat piles off the counter.]
Whoops. Wait.
[Just gonna sweep those together.]
[action]
[No really let her get those, she had them in order.]
This would be a bit easier if you had them organized, don't you think? You could put them in protective plastic sheets as well, that way if you spill something on them while you use them you could just wipe it off.
[Friendly suggestions are not rude, right?]
