Well, this certainly wasn't how I was expecting to spend my day...

[Shiro's face is a bit obscured at the moment, as his SFC is sat down next to a rice cooker (how did he get a hold of that? The world may never know) as his fingers work over a puzzle.]

ah, no... not quite... but as far as first curses go, this isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be!

... no, that was close...

[He keeps working at it, but not a second later, it finally clicks and the cooker opens up - empty currently, but at least now he can start to make his rice.]

Wonderful! This is kind of fun! How is everyone else fairing with their puzzles? I'd be more than happy to assist, if some one would be willing to pass some dinner my way in payment!

[He bends down, giving the SFC a completely innocent, 'you know you want to feed me and have me help' smile before shutting his SFC off.]

*Selphie slowly sat back up, and when she looks at Shiro again she gives a big nod, and a huge smile*

Alright! How about some cake?

.. yes. That would be lovely, thank you.

*Sometimes it was like she was on autopilot, offering sweet treats as a way to make others feel better. She knows it often works for her, at least. So she disappears into the kitchen with the tray. There's the sound of chopsticks clattering on the kitchen floor as Selphie moves things about to get the cake ready. Soon enough she reappears with the tray laden with a large chocolate cake, and lots of smaller cookies*

[It's certainly better than continuing to sulk about it. He doesn't mind the offer in the least, and even gives her a warm smile when she returns.]

*Well, that was much better. It makes her smile to see that at least he is looking happier*

Here we go! Chocolate cake and cookies! I dunno what you like best, so, you can have as much or as little as you like!

*Again, she performs some kind of careful dance around the table as she settles the tray down - so much effort!*

[Even if Shiro doesn't have that much of a sweet tooth, it still looks amazing to him.]

*Selphie drops down on the sofa next to him, picking up a plate and offering it to him so that he can choose what he wants*

I do my best! Besides, if you hadn't got us in here, then we'd both be starving right now!

[He goes for the cookies, taking a couple.]

Still, it's certainly nice to be treated, even if it was for the price of a puzzle.

*Selphie laughs, taking a rather large slice of chocolate cake and putting it on her plate*

*Uh.. then she shuts herself up with a mouthful of cake. Probably not the kind of thing to say to a king*

Maybe he should have been a little offended, but all he can do is laugh at that.

Seems there were perks to the body he'd managed to take. Not that his previous one was bad to look at. Still, he certainly didn't mind being called cute.]

*And she promptly shovels yet more cake into her mouth, painfully aware of not turning to look at him. She was right, it was a stupid thing to say. She really, really ought to think before she speaks*

*Selphie sighs heavily, just continuing to eat her cake while she notes to self not to ever call a king cute. That's ridiculous. She coughs lightly, almost choking at the thought*

[He's still amused at her reaction, and can't help the smile that's still there when he asks:]

Are you alright?

*She just clears her throat, nodding as she puts down a nearly empty plate in front of her*

*Selphie's somewhat embarrassed laugh comes out a little too loud*

Hahaha! Yeah...you should try it. It's good.

Oh? Are you sure you wouldn't like another piece? I'm not entirely sure you tasted that last one.

*Finally she turns to look at him, but she looks a little startled*

No! Really, I tasted that one loads!

*She shakes her head, smiling a little*

I'm sorry... I shouldn't have said that in the first place!

*Selphie glances at him, smiling despite her discomfort*

Sorry! I just don't usually have kings hanging out in my apartment!
