[Hi, Vatheon, here's a face you haven't seen in a little while. Link waves sleepily, still kind of groggy after, well, sleeping for a month.]

[Again.]

Hi, everyone. I guess I fell asleep again, huh? It's okay, I've already been to the coral. [Indeed, he woke up there.]

Um... have I missed anything important?

[The first thing that Link is aware of as consciousness returns is warmth and softness - he's not sure, exactly, where he is, but it's not exactly uncomfortable.]

[Murmuring sleepily, his lashes flutter for a moment as he yawns, and he half-turns to curl into whatever the soft warm thing he's on is.]

[Link utterly unconscious with his head on her chest out of necessity is okay. It's something Zelda can handle. Link waking up and snuggling into her chest?

No, no, she definitely can't handle it.

Zelda grabs his hand and presses it to the coral quickly, hoping he jerks to look and see what she's doing before realizing where his face is.]

[Whoa movement okay moving. Link blinks, waking up more thoroughly at the sudden movement, lifting his head (probably thankfully, both for his and Zelda's remaining dignity).]

[He's at the coral? But how...]

[Still blinking sleep out of his eyes, he half-turns to see who's holding his hand to the coral.]

...Zelda?

[Just act casual, he'll never notice!]

Good morning, sleepyhead.

[Wait no, don't call him what First Zelda calls First Link! ...even if it's very accurate right now.]

You've been out for over a month now. I thought I would bring you to the coral so you didn't get sick.

[He did sleep for seven years. Appropriate nickname is probably appropriate.]

Over a month? Wow - again? [Reaching up to rub at his eyes, he blinks blearily.]

[He's not feeling too bad, actually, and turns to give her a grateful smile.] Thanks. Last time I felt really sick when I woke up...

[At least he's dressed appropriately for being outside. No one in Zelda's house falls into a coma without ending up in a Zora Tunic! She shifts so that he's standing rather than being held in her arms. He's likely to notice the curious lack of weight, not unlike trying to move around with the hover boots on.]

I am going to remove the spell I have on you so you can walk on your own, all right?

[Glancing down in surprise, he nods.] Okay. What spell is it? I feel really light.

It is a levitation spell a friend taught me.

[She takes it off slowly, holding on to him throughout.]

Do you feel well this time?

Oh - okay. [And he's standing! Hurrah. Taking a tentative step to check his balance, he nods.] I feel fine. Just kinda sleepy, I guess.

[Offering her a smile, he pauses as he glances up at the coral. Huh... For a moment, the dream lingers in his mind, and the coral as it really is seems a little out of place.] I had a dream when I was asleep, I think. About you. ...And Hyrule.

I was wondering if I'd dreamed you there or if you actually visited!

[Zelda smiles a bit, then tucks her hair behind her ears, looking at the coral.]

It was a curse of some sort. We had dreams of the past, present, or future, and people were able to see them. Though... the dreams of the future were only that of a potential future, but...

[The princess sets her jaw.]

I intend to make it a reality.

Oh - you were there too? [He blinks a little, rubbing at the back of his head. In honesty, he's still going to need a little while to process the contents of it, to accept the thought processes he underwent with his conscious mind, but...]

[He does feel a little better. Lighter.]

If it is true. If we can ever go back - I know you'll help fix Hyrule.

[He doesn't mention his doubts that it'll ever happen exactly the way she dreamt it, but... it's a nice idea. And if it does, well, no one will be happier about it than him. Zelda shouldn't have to choose between Vatheon and Hyrule, and the people in both.]

[The confidence fades just a bit, replaced by a slightly anxious girl looking for approval from her childhood hero.]

Do you truly think so? I was hoping you would approve of what I plan for it...

[He is the one who suffered to make it happen, after all.]

[Childhood heroes generally aren't children themselves, though...]

Yeah, I think so! [He offers her a smile, hopefully reassuring her - he's noted the slight anxiety.] The Gorons and Zoras and Gerudo are really nice, they just need to get to know everyone. And I bet the Kokiri could come out if it was safe and the Deku Sprout said they could.

I do hope that part was a reality, too. I would love to be able to have their input on the reconstruction. You know, in other parts of the dream, they were planting trees all over!

Well, the more trees, the better! [He grins, considering for a moment.] Maybe if there were trees from the forest planted in other places, they could go there. Like a bit of the forest that's outside it.

That must have been my reasoning, as well. I will be sure to bring it up with the Deku Sprout. Having more trees around certainly wouldn't hurt anything, anyway.

[Oh, here Link just woke up and she's already chattering at him...]

I apologize, you must be hungry. Would you like to get something to eat?

[Yes, his stomach is definitely concurring with that.]

Oh - uh, yeah, that'd be a good idea. [He smiles sheepishly, scratching at the back of his head.] What did I miss while I was asleep? You can tell me while we walk.

[Zelda's fairly animated as she discusses the curses Link has missed, but the closer she draws to speaking about the present day, the more awkward she becomes. It seems... strange to speak with Link about Valentine's Day. She didn't think much of the foreign holiday the year before, but this time she knows what it means. Once, if she'd had the nerve, she would have wanted to give chocolate to him.

A large part of her still wants that.

She shakes her head. Thankfully, the brief pause in her monologue was long enough for them to reach the cafe.]

...nothing else all that important, really. Zelda is asleep now. Our house seems to have come down with narcolepsy!

Wow, really? [Link has been listening attentively, and he chuckles a little at the description.] Is she getting used to Vatheon now? It's been a couple of months now, right?

I think she is.

[The dream her ancestor had isn't mentioned either. Her and the first Link getting married... the princess settles down at a table, smiling gratefully at the waitress.]

I'll just have some water, please. I ate recently.

[Link goes for a nice big salad sandwich... and a side of fries... and hot chocolate, then sits back contentedly.] That's good. It's a good thing that Ghirahim guy isn't here any more, huh?

I... am not sure. Before he was returned to his own body, he confessed to me that he was not always so cruel. He's been warped by the same great evil we are destined to fight. I think he was learning to overcome that before he left.

[It probably is for the best, though. Skyloft's Link and Zelda would likely try to fight him.]

I guess... [He looks briefly pensive.] Sola said he was getting better. But I guess he's gone back to the way he was now, huh?

[With a little sigh, he sits back. It's related to something that's been weighing on his mind since he woke up.]

I wish I knew for sure that people will be safe in the future. Especially in - [Steeling himself, briefly -] Especially in my time. I can't do anything to help any more, and I want to know that... well, that everything will be okay.

...everything will be. No matter the timeline, I assure you that I would not allow Ganondorf to have his way with Hyrule. Not forever. You awakened all the Sages. I believe we would be able to do the rest.

[Strangely enough, she sounds confident. It's something she's thought on too, though, and this is the conclusion she's come to.]

He shall not win. I promise you.

[The smile he gives Zelda is small and tentative, but there's genuine relief in his expression.] I know. I think you're a lot tougher than you think you are. And - if there is a cycle, then that means that there'll be another hero one day.
