this might sound silly but could i have a hug?

[ She's not really directing this at anybody in particular. She just found out parts of her family are no longer here and she's ... not handling it too well. She'll take a hug from anyone willing to give one. ]

[ She smiles, a small smile. But it's obvious she's still hurting behind all of that. ]

[Pulling away from the hug, he escorts her to the couch so they can sit down.]

I can tell something is troubling you.

[ She nods, slowly, following him to the couch. ]

Yeah ... I found out some awful news.

[He sits down and watching her carefully, while being gentle with his expressions and tone of voice.]

What is it? I'm here to listen.

[ She's quiet for several moments, staring at her knees ... and when she speaks again, her voice is very soft. ]

So many people I love have left recently ...

[He reaches up and gently places a hand on Kohaku's shoulder.]

I understand and know how you feel, Kohaku.

And ... A-And it all just ... happened! All at once! Well, maybe not really all at once, but ... at around the same time.

I know that it happens ... it just sucks that it happened like this.

This place doesn't care who stays and goes, I'm sure you're aware of that.

I know. It could happen to anybody. It could happen to you, or me, and we would have no say in the matter at all.

And we would forget this place even existed, and forget all of the people we had come to know and love.

I've been here for over a year and a half, now ... There's just so much I don't want to lose ...

It's better not to grow attached to the people in this world. Otherwise, you'll allow that attachment to rule over your life here.

You would think that would be easy, right?

... Sometimes, I wish I could be that way. To go through life, not making any emotional attachments to people ... to not care if someone leaves my life.

I'm not that kind of person, though. I genuinely love the people I've met here. I don't want to lose them.

I'm afraid you'll come to realize that I'm on the exact opposite scale in that regard. Though that seems to be the case with many of our discussions.

We're very different people, yeah ...

That's not so terrible, is it?

Not really. If everyone were the exact same person, we'd all be so bored of each other.

[He laughs.]

[ She does manage a small smile at that. ]

I'm glad we met, Angelo. Even if someday, I might leave. Or you might. Even if we don't remember each other. I'm glad that we've had the chance to become friends.

[He might be blushing a small bit at Kohaku's words, though he's trying not to show it.]

Rather needy and easy to get favors out of, if you understand what I mean. Not every girl is that way however, namely the Princess, Jessica, and Red.
