*Selphie's room, in the background, may seem a little less decorated than it was before Christmas, but all those fairy lights are still there. She's wrapped up cosy in a blanket on her bed, a bunch of random books at her side*

So, it's a new year, and my resolution is to learn something new! You're a talented bunch, Vatheon, I know it - so whatcha gonna teach me?

*Lord knows, there's a lot of things that she could learn*

Well...there's so much stuff~ Like maybe.. I could learn a new language, or I could learn to sew, or I could learn to cook a good meal.. Or... all kindsa cool stuff!

*The world is for learning, after all!*

[Yukari looks intrigued, actually. Heh, it's nice to see someone taking an active interest in this kind of thing.]

Well, I don't know about a second language. But I have been working on my sewing and cooking some since I got here!

Ooh... I gotta do that too. I'm so terrible at both of those things, and I feel like I really should be better at it.

So you just gonna keep going with that?

[She nods, both to affirm the statement and to answer her question -- smiling.]

Mmhmm! Well, they both help you take care of yourself better.

[And take care of others.]

I had a friend who was teaching me to sew, but...I don't really have a cooking mentor yet.

*Selphie thinks about this - she'd never needed to cook or sew since coming to Vatheon. But all of a sudden, it would be useful, and besides... guys liked girls who could cook*

But there are loads of people around who know how to cook, so we just gotta find someone willing!

[Yukari thinks about it, too. It seems she has plenty of friends willing to learn with her, at least -- and it'd be more fun that way.]

I guess that would depend on what you wanna work on, too. Is there anything in particular you wanna make?

I dunno... Maybe something super tasty but super easy too. So if I wanna have a friend over... or cook for someone, then I can.

I also really, really wanna be able to make chocolate cake!

*Yup, she's thought about this a bit*

Mmm—chocolate cake!

[She repeats the words, unable to resist licking her lips just once; and she laughs.]

Sounds like we'll wanna focus on baking, then. Cake is great for when you have company over.

*Selphie bursts into giggles at seeing how excited Yukari gets over chocolate cake*

Exactly! I can make cake for you, and for Kenshin, and for everyone! Let's bake together, and then when we're super good, we can throw a tea party!~

[Oh no, don't laugh at her. Sob she just likes chocolate, okay it's her weakness.]

Yeah! Totally seems like a plan to me. I've never met Kenshin, but I'm sure he'd appreciate a good cake, too.

And, y'know. Tea.

He would! Kenny's favourite thing is chocolate cake! Well...after sake!

How about we try some recipes out soon? You could come round use my kitchen!

That'd be great! I actually found some good recipe books for a friend of mine, before she left Vatheon...

Yeah, that's a good idea! I bet there will be people around with some real good baking recipes!
