( someone seems a little more thoughtful than usual...
he looks down at the sfc in his hand for a few moments before lowering it, knowing that it's recording... he's standing near the coral, in the meantime -- )
People just come and go at the drop of a hat, don't they. Both the stupid ones and comrades alike, it doesn't matter. And it's not like they have any say in it either, it's like we're all just waiting for our damn turns to take a stab at the odds of leaving.
( his grip tightens around the communicator, which you can actually hear... )
So, tell me. How many of you have had your comrades come and go, then come and go again? Personally I'm getting pretty sick of it. What's the point in showing up again if you're just going to leave. Just leave them where they are so we don't have to deal with it in the first place, I say.

[Well, Tiir can't say that he doesn't understand. He's sick of it himself, after all.
But—]
Even if they end up leaving, you can still try and cherish the time you spent with them before then. That's what I think.
video;
( he almost laughs. but it's an expression of bitterness. he could do without the bullcrap of it all, even if you have a point. seems it's a point he doesn't care to acknowledge at the moment... )
What the hell's the point. How can I be considered their comrade if I can't even do anything about it in the first place? What good does it do?
video;
There are some things beyond your power. And your feelings towards them are what make you their comrade—therefore, the fact that you care so much speaks enough.
video;
( yea, he's going to be stubborn about it. things just aren't going his way... ) For all I know that bitch has got ahold of them... ( he narrows his eyes at the thought ) And I'm stuck here surrounded by all this damn water!

Goodbyes, usually, aren't the end.

Maybe they are dead. ( whenever anyone he knew came back, they were usually beaten within an inch of their lives... ) How am I supposed to know? I'm stuck here rotting in this damn bubble.

But he won't begrudge Heat's negativity.]
... I understand. That would be infuriating. I have the luxury of knowing that my friends are safe back home, but I know not everyone has that.

You would rather they not show up at all?

he doesn't turn, he knows who's there. but his arms cross over his chest as he stands tall -- )
Better than showing up and then hightailing it.

It isn't their fault . . . we should appreciate the time we have.

Our captors bring them back because they find it amusing to cause us pain, that is why they do it.
[ video ]
You sound pretty sure of yourself about that. ( he figures the same thing's either happened to you... or maybe you just know something there, angie boy... )
[ video ]
I know how the human mind and heart can be manipulated and so do our captors.
