I'd say this is for the sake of science or something along those lines, but since it's truth week, I doubt it'd let me say that. So, I'm just going to say that this is me exploiting the hell out of this curse by asking this question publicly.

Seriously. I'm pretty much a copy of someone else in my neck of the universe 'cause of time shenanigans, so sometimes it feels like I'm just a spare wheel while simultaneously being the third one.

[Suddenly, he hates this curse.]

Dude, that really sucks. I'm not a copy of anyone, but I've been on a quest with six of my friends. And all of them are paired off and dating. So I'm not just a third wheel anymore, I'm a seventh wheel. Only two of them wound up here with me, so I've been downgraded back to a third wheel, but when I go home, I get to be unlucky number seven again.

[Leo's already been hating it.]

Okay, that's a pretty shit situation right there, gotta agree with you on that one. Definitely hard not to feel left out of a loop when everyone around you has a significant other.

Even worse is that Nemesis - Greek goddess of revenge and justice - told me that I'd always be the odd one out. So I can't expect that to ever change.

Things change with time. Maybe now you are the odd man out, but that doesn't mean you'll always be that way.

[Slight eyebrow raise, but otherwise he accepts Leo being a demigod.]

Please tell me you can't make volcanoes erupt. Granted, I'm not even sure Vatheon's got any nearby.

Maybe. It would be great if that were true.

Never tried to and unless I had a really good reason like wiping out thousands of monsters in one go, I wouldn't try it. But I do have fire power. [He holds his hand in front of the camera and sets it on fire for a brief moment. Just enough to prove it.]

I don't think that makes much of a difference, dude. Someone who digs your look could just as easily come along faster than someone who digs me.

My friend Jason has wind powers, too. We haven't tried combining forces and haven't had any accidents with it either. [He shrugs.] But I'll keep that in mind, bro.

Yeah, Jason's a demigod. He and Percy together caused quite a storm together. Jason's also got lightning powers due to being the son of Jupiter. And Percy's a son of Poseidon so he's got some wicked awesome powers over water.

So...you got fire, Jason's got wind, and Percy's got water. You guys need to get someone who can do earth and I'll throw in Dirk for heart. With your powers combined, you can create Captain Planet.

[He laughs becaue Captain Planet references are the best.] We've got both of those covered, dude. My friend Hazel is a daughter of Pluto and good with the earth. She can find and probably create tunnels and can find precious metals. And then there's Piper who is a daughter of Aphrodite, so if that's not enough heart for you, I don't know what is. And to top it all off we're fighting Gaea.

Basically, she wants to rise up and take back the earth. Destroy all of humanity and the gods. So they decided the best way to stop that was sending 7 teenagers on a warship with a blood-thirsty satyr that loves watching mixed-martial arts and changing the Pokémon theme song to "Gotta kill 'em all," as their chaperone. I think my life might be an after school special.

...Huh. Better than a soap opera, at least.

It's a game that takes real life roleplaying to an entirely too realistic level. Complicated as shit, too, but the point of the game is to create a new universe. At least, that's what we think. In order to create it, though, our home world has to be destroyed. So, where I'm from, Earth is nothing more than a desolate wasteland. All Players get titles when they enter the game, and Dirk's our Prince of Heart.

Pretty much anything is better than a soap opera.

It's even crazier when you're a Time Player. I was the Knight of Time until I went and prototyped myself into a sprite. It was my job to keep the time loops stable when I was the alpha Dave. Now, I'm just a friendly NPC guide for him.

See, there are times in which the main or alpha timeline branches off into a beta or doomed timeline. When that happens, usually it results in the Players being in limbo or for all of them dying. I was part of the limbo doomed timeline, and I went back to correct the mistake. The catch is that correcting it means two things. One, the alpha timeline people get a spare Dave, and two, my timeline gets completely erased for correcting the mistake. I'm the only one alive from that, and even then I dunno how long that'll last. Doomed people have a habit of dying at one point or another.

Wow. That really sucks, bro. I'm not gonna say your situation is better or worse than mine 'cause I don't know the half of it. But, dude.

I would say that we both have heavy shit to carry on our shoulders. Vatheon makes things a little better since there aren't any real expectations from the world at large.

Yeah, compared to life back home, this place is kind of a vacation. But that's not saying much.
