So to celebrate reopening and the warm weather, today's special is sun-shaped sugar cookies~


I think I'm going to build a fishtank in the bakery! Who doesn't like fishies? And I have plenty living in my basement. They're so cute! They are silver and black and always look down. I bet they'd be happier in a tank with food and fun things to swim in. Fai offered to help. Anyone else who'd like to help is welcome too~

Ve, it's at home. I live on the outskirts of the city. I thought the fishies would be happier here.

Fair enough. I'll get my tribute first and then go fishing.

[Forgoing any chairs, she just kicks back in midair as usual.]

Pretty cozy place you got goin' on here. Have it for long?

[ well that's something he hasn't quite seen yet. DING DING~! Oh look, the pastries are done! He goes to pull them out of the oven and returns with a plate. ]

Ve, careful, they're hot.

I've had this place for over a year, I think?

No big. [She goes to touch one, and giggles a little.] Ow.

Wow, that long, huh? I guess it makes sense to get yourself this cozy after all that time then.

Ve, they are straight out of the oven. [ he didn't even have time to cool them off. ]

Si, si, my old friends built it but they disappeared some time ago.

Oh. Bummer.

[She kinda just lost someone of her own, but it's not something she's eager to broadcast.]

Didn't that brochure thing say something about them maybe coming back?

Si, si. I've been waiting for them to come back. One of my other friends did! I'm glad she's back.

Cool. [Marceline finally picks up something to drain on a bit.] What's her name, maybe I know her.

Selphie. She takes care of the giant birds, the chocobo.

Giant birds, huh? I'll have to check her out then. Sounds rad.

Ve, she's very nice too. I bet you two would be friends~

Who wouldn't want to be friends with me? I am pretty amazing.

[Draining a few of the delicious snacks, Marceline dusts off her hands.]

Alright then, why don't you bring me to that basement of yours then, and I can finish up the rest of these later. No point in shovin' it off. [Dramatic sigh!] The life of a generous master is always busy, and whatever.

My home's a bit of a walk from here. I can get more snacks for the trip, if you'd like. [ Italy had plenty of pastries, though most of them weren't red. His current selection consisted mostly of chocolate and sunny colors. As strawberries were coming back in season, he did have a selection of strawberry pastries. ]

Oooh, yeah, bring whatcha got. [Best cooking slave.] I'll wait outside for ya while you pack up then.

Okay! [ Italy just liked to make people happy. He didn't mind being pushed around at all. And Marceline didn't hit him and kept him safe, so that was good!

He gathered the strawberry croissants and remaining cherry ones into a large tubberware container, filling the rest of the space with cranberry cookies. He then followed her out the door with a smile. ]

[She's really not that bad when it comes down to it. Y'know. Sometimes.]

[She watches contentedly as all the goodies are packed up, and then leads him outside. It's on him to lead the way to his own house after that.]

Just moved into a place myself y'know.

It's not too bad- killer view. Y'know those apartments near the library, Pendilium or whatever? I'm over there, sixth floor.
