Has anyone ever done a survey of the different types of fighting that everyone here knows? It seems like we probably have a lot to teach each other, and I, for one, would be happy to learn something a little different. I currently use a sword and lightning magic, and while I can't teach the magic to those who don't have it, I've found that simply sparring against people from different schools of training has helped me to adapt my own technique.

But there's some things I can't learn simply by fighting, but things that might be nonetheless useful in the context of some battles, like firearms.

Perhaps if people could simply talk some about how battles go on their world, I'll be able to better determine strategy that should be used for the Defense Force.

And I wouldn't be opposed to learning something new, if anyone's in the mood to teach.

It's always good to master as much as we can.

She's done so once before. I just feel she's safer when I can keep an eye on her.

Yeah, I've tried my prongs at a few things, ah, swords and that too, but I prefer lances and shorter blades over all. Any type of piercing weapon's not bad though. Fang tended to prefer blades herself.

I've found that swords are good both when you need to cut and when it's necessary to stab.

Yeah I uh, don't think so. Already went through it here myself and nothing really came of it. But it can teach a lesson to some. Death still has to mean something.

Depends. It doesn't have the same amount of meaning, but even still, ya can't really learn anything from death when it's final, so here maybe it can teach. Ah- as long as it's not too common though, ya know? Could have the opposite effect.

[Summoner's chill with it. He doesn't have any sort of religion, just beliefs he's formed on his own. Honor and what not. But he's killed someone here to prove a point to them, and it ended up teaching them what he had wanted it to. So he's sticking to his guns about it and doesn't regret what happened.]

I don't know that I like the idea of it being used as a lesson, any more than I like the idea of breaking someone's arm for a lesson.

[Ky repeats it as if that makes a difference, as if by simply saying the name firmly enough everything he means will be made clear.]

Kinda a product of where I come from. A lot of people I know won't learn from words alone. [His voice trails, pausing for a moment.] They've shown that, words alone... they've led to terrible things. So you have to take other measures to make any differences.

Ah yeah I just, who's St, Peter?

I've known...creatures [Not properly people at all] who wouldn't listen to reason. But in this place... God forbid they ever show up. [Those that won't listen to reason likely won't listen to their own death either.]

God has a place for all of that, although it does seem as though there's only a subset of humans I've met here who have accepted Catholicism.

Ah, Catholicism? God? Like, not a god, just someone just called god? Can't say I'm familiar with either. Sounds like some kind of religion humans have then. I don't really align with anything like that, not with the world I'm familiar with.

Like God as in everyone's God, who has a place and a plan for us all.

Uh, we don't really have that kind of thing where I come from. There's a few religions, but none I'm at all interested in.
