[Video] The Wheel Keeps on Turning.

[ This time the announcement about Riku's departure is intentional. Sora's up on the island sitting on the beach. The sun is setting. He's had plenty of time since this morning to think about it, and he's actually able to smile a little at the camera. ]

Hey everyone, I just wanted you guys to know Riku went home again.

[ He forces the smile to stay on his face, acting as if everything's okay. He's sort of getting used to this by now, but that doesn't mean it doesn't still hurt. ]

Kairi, if you didn't know yet, I'm sorry.

[ He actually seems a little sadder at that. He ends the transmission there without another word. Really there's nothing else to say. ]

Hearts can be so misleading. I'm fairly certain that was something Xaldin was sure to impart upon the newer members if asked.

[ Sora's fist were shaking now. He was not happy not in the least, but at least he wasn't thinking about Riku leaving anymore. ]

[ Sora didn't know what to say. His hand moved up to his heart on instinct and he clutched at his shirt.

[ What if he had been wrong? ]

Xemnas wouldn't have given you your hearts back.

[ Sora spoke quietly, going off what DiZ had told them and what little he did know. ]

He'd have used it for himself and to hurt the world's.

[Oh. So. He was a little more intelligent than Saix had thought him to be, or had simply been very lucky and been told just the right knowledge. He shifted, slightly, and pressed his knuckles against his cheek in thought.]

I'm well aware of what Xemnas' plans were in regards to Kingdom Hearts. In fact, I would hazard a guess that I wasn't the only one.

[Marluxia and Larxene, possibly, and Xigbar always seemed to know more than he let on... And, of course, Axel.]

[ Sora didn't say anything. He was feeling a mixture of annoyance and sadness at the whole thing. He couldn't expect Saix to be on his die of the argument if he knew what the plans for Kingdom Hearts was. ]

[ He wasn't a murderer, how could he be when what he'd done was the right thing? ]

[ No Sora wasn't going to say that he killed Xemnas. Xemnas of all Nobodies deserved what he got as far as Sora was concerned. ]

So. Someone supremely powerful and so difficult to beat, even with the two of you working together... What makes you think any of us were so suicidal as to try and attack him upfront?

[ Sora frowned. ]

Maybe it's just because you didn't want to.

It's called being brave and doing what's right. Even if it's foolish sometimes you have to try for what's right.

[ As strong as most of them had been when Sora fought them, he had no doubt that together they could have stopped Xemnas. ]

Foolishness gets you killed or, worse, turned into a Dusk. Nobodies may not possess hearts, but we do possess a desire to not die. Half the Organization would not have gone along with it, others would be indifferent, others could not be trusted, and Demyx was a coward.

[Basically, fuck his coworkers is what he's saying here.]

[With how much he- how much Isa and Lea had been so nosy, how couldn't they have known that something strange was going on in the castle, with the King and the apprentices? Just not enough to have done anything worthwhile..]

[ Sora was proof enough of that. He was still alive even if it had been considered foolish. His eyes narrow a bit at the coward comment. Back in the Underworld he might have said the same thing, but now that Demyx is his friend it just irritates Sora all the more. ]

Demyx isn't a coward.

[ He'd fought for the Organization still hadn't he? Even if he'd died doing it, Saix had too. ]

Then why are you blaming me for this? You should be blaming him. He's the one who turned you into what you are and he would have done a lot worse! You're the one who protected him, maybe you should have thought about your choices first.

In that particular case, for us, it would have been. [And just a scoff at the comment about Demyx. Sorry, Sora, he's had to deal with too much of his ridiculousness to play nice.]

[It's the first time he's ever told anyone his true thoughts regarding Xemnas, outside of Axel. There wasn't anyone he could have spoken to, and no one he would have wanted to. To do what had to be done, they had to think of him as nothing more than a dedicated lacky, and, well... It had worked, hadn't it? The rest of the Organization seeing him as nothing but the Superior's dog, and outside their ranks as well.]

You are an outsider who asked no questions regarding what went on in the Organization- you have little ground to stand on if you think you can question my choices when you don't even know what most of them were.

Besides... After a certain point, there wasn't any reason to do anything but go along with his plans. It didn't matter, in the end.

[ Sora shook his head. He couldn't agree with that. Sure there'd been times Sora worried he was doing the right thing, but it always came down to the greater good and that was the truth even now. Maybe...maybe he was a murderer, and the thought made him sick to his stomach, but he'd done it for the greater good and that was more important than anything. ]

I wanted Xemnas dead for my own reasons, and nothing else. I fail to see what's wrong with being selfish. It's human nature, and it's not as if I'm capable of much else.
