The harm is that I have seen enough deaths here and elsewhere, even discounting my own, and am not looking to have the number added to. And considering what she did with me when I barely even knew her at all, there are high fucking chances it would backfire somehow. It is way, way too easy for these things to spiral out of control and turn into slaughterfests, Minene.

Whether or not I want to get even is not the issue here. The issue is what's safe for me, my team, and the people generally surrounding that crazy bitch.

Let me tell you a few things. I'm a troll, not a human, and my species is one raised for the purpose of conquering other planets and the species living there. We are violent by culture and by blood, and there are expectations about getting even for shit that's been done wrong to you. But I've also seen what it can do. People important to me have been hurt, or more frequently, actually died because someone in the equation wanted to get even about something. Revenge changes, multiple murders - outside this place, I lost almost five people and a sixth went blind all because people wanted to get even over different things. Even before that, there were two deaths and a different blinding because of a revenge chain that got out of hand. And here...

Let's just say it's come up way too fucking often in my life, and however good it might seem at the time, it isn't. It screws things up majorly - people are hurt, literally and emotionally, and it is altogether an entire shitsplosion, and no matter who you are, if you've got any link to it, you get hit with the fecal matter because someone couldn't calm the fuck down and handle things rationally.

I don't like Yuno. I sure as hell do not trust her, around me or anyone. But I do not and will not risk what would happen if anyone decided to kill her for killing me.

So what the hell are you supposed to do? When something happens to someone you care about -- or in this case, don't particularly care about -- what're you supposed to do? Just sit there and watch?

Shit's messy but you gotta get it done. Guess I just don't work like that.

There are other ways. I've fucked up before, myself, and I know damn well how tempting it can be to get even for what someone did. But there are still other ways. I've learned that - and I've proved it. Am I saying I know completely how to fix this and what a psychopath Yuno is? No. But I do know enough that killing her in revenge isn't going to make things better.

Other ways? What, should we all get together for a tea party?

There's some guys talking about doing something with the local defense force, I don't know the details. I'm keeping my prongs out of it since I have had more than enough with her already.

And so maybe you do have your own score, but you fuck up your own life on your own terms. Don't drag in what she did to me as an excuse when I'm telling you I don't want that.
