Hey, Vatheon - lend me your ears a minute.

[He gives a short pause and then nods, once he's certain he's got the attention of a few people.]

These curses, huh? Vatheon's usually pretty safe except for those things and there isn't much we can do about that, huh? I know, I know - it's inconvenient but it's all part of living in this here bubble.

My friend, Ken, was spearheading- [He pauses as he says the word, smile breaking across his expression.] Heh... [He shakes his head, smile still present as he speaks] Ken was in charge of this project but it looks like it's fizzled out after he left. So I'm going to take up the gauntlet and pick up where he's left off.

Is anyone interested in learning how to fight? Like I said, curses seem to be our main threat here but you never know when you might need to defend yourself. I'm a boxer, so I can teach you anything you need to know about some basic hand to hand fighting or just be someone to spar with if you already have the small stuff down.

Anyone have any other skills? Spearfighting, archery? Swordsmanship? Maybe we can coordinate a whole training committee, for anyone looking to learn how to protect themselves? What do you guys thinks?

[Sweet. Getting praised is always a good thing, so Yukari nods, laughing a bit, too, since it's kind of contagious.]

I will - I'll make up a copy for Arisato and the Defence Force too. That way I'll be able to figure out where training can be fit in. Then again, Ken was a pretty meticulous kid. [He takes the notebook from Yukari, flipping through it.]

He's probably already got timeslots and everything figured out!

Maybe! [She hadn't gotten a good look at it, but she wouldn't put it past Ken to do all that on his own, no.] But either way, I'm glad his work won't be going to waste.

...And I'm sure he is, too.

[Yeah. Ken would have appreciated knowing Akihiko was putting his work to good use, wouldn't he? He would've felt good about being able to help out so much - and if he were still here, this whole project would still be in his hands and it would be Akihiko playing Yukari's role right now. Offering assistance if he would accept it.

He nods and closes the notebook, tucking it under his arm.]

Yeah... He would be. I'm going to make sure that when he comes back, everything will be ready and underway. After all, this wouldn't exist without him.

[He sounds really determined. It's quite admirable, really, though Yukari won't take being an assistant lightly.]

[Her words are all he needs to know she's in it for the long haul. It's not going to be a simple thing to organize but it will definitely take some pressure of Minato and the Defence Force. In many ways, he appreciates knowing he can count on her for this too.]
