Thirty-Fourth Flare - Video - Birds, Birds, Everywhere
So yeah, turns out Myde was pregnant.
[Way to open up a feed, Lea. But he's grinning into the camera, hair tied back and in a too large t-shirt and pants. He's also covered in soft downy feathers of all sorts of colors; it isn't easy calming down the flock when they're so excitable. As he adjusts the camera, it's obvious he's near some rather simple looking stables. Anyone who's worked or visited the Phoenix Nest would recognize them as being behind there.]
[When he's done fiddling with the view, the camera is focused on a group of Chocobos. There's Myde, one of the adults and a beautiful soft brown with specks of white on her chest, looking tired but calmly pleased. Hovering near her is Alex, a bright red who couldn't look more proud as he nuzzles Myde.]
[And around them?]
Yep, looks like the second generation of Vatheon-born Chocochicks are here! Heh, aren't they adorable? And new colors, too, look!
[Lea looks just as proud as Alex as he sits down amongst the chirping, energetic chicks. There are seven in all, and they happily flop and flutter onto the teen. There are a few very pale gray chicks, and another couple which are a much darker shade, a strange kind of lavender-gray. There are a pair of soft colored yellows and one lone red. Lea handles all of them carefully and with utter adoration.]
I'll cut everyone the same deal Stein did whenever his chocobos laid eggs. If you think you can give one of these sweethearts a good home, and you can tell me so, I'll let you keep one. Myde and Alex won't mind.
Mistreat them and I will wreck your life.
[He says it with a cheery grin that is 100% brutal honesty.]
((ooc: Yep! Lea is giving away chocobo chicks. Just have your character comment and Lea will talk it out. I'll keep track of who has which chick here in the ooc.
2 yellow: Demyx, Squall Leonhart
3 white : Motochika, Aradia Megido
2 black : Jacob
1 red : Dave Strider))

[Just eyeing those chicks thoughtfully] Racing, huh...? So what color does what?
Technically, all breeds are good for racing, but some of 'em like different terrain better than others. You want just plain level racing, you go for yellows and red. They liked plains and all that. Reds are also really fond of climbing, 'tho, so that's something to keep in mind. Ever see a blue, just keep in mind that they're water-lovers, and can run straight across it. None in this batch, 'tho.
Now, the blacks, they're one of the only ones that can fly. That's real handy.
[He really, really liked racing. It got him into a lot of trouble when he was a kidbot.]
Name's Rattrap, actually, and you'll believe it when you don't see it, on account a' me tryin' to avoid them places.
What about them grey-y white ones? They turn black and fly too?
And nah. They're gonna be white ones, I think. [A pause, and Lea squints at the screen a bit.] As a robot, what're your opinions on magic, anyway? Important question, not out of the blue, honest.
Magic? [Oh yes, very, very amused] It's all mystical mumbo jumbo what I don't understand, and I don't care to. But if it works, it works, right?
Oh, we'll get along just great then. [Lea makes a dismissive and lazy kind of wave.] Let's just say the whites have something to do with mystical mumbo jumbo that may have something to do with recharging people or things that use it and leave it at that.
Right. [That actually sounds interesting. Gonna sit and stroke his chin thoughtfully here] So how d'ya take care 'a them? Food, water, and a fluffy nest?
Yeah, more or less. Depends on the breed- browns like having a fluffier nest than blues, for example, and there's also the personality to think of. Chicks like this you wanna keep on a formula until they're a few weeks older, then you change to greens. Oh, and plenty of room to run around in.
