Hello, Vatheon.
[Ky's carefully formal, seated at his desk with the SFC set up to create a very formal atmosphere.]
I'm Ky Kiske, and I don't represent any formal group. Nonetheless, I was hoping that you might take the time to answer a few questions. We all live in this place together, and I think there are some steps that can be taken to make this more of a community and a community where we can feel safer.
You can answer either verbally or with a written response of your own, but either way I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your answers with you, to determine what nuance there is.
[He pauses, then sends out the questions by text.]
1. What is the most severe crime where you come from?
2. What is your society's stance on murder?
3. What keeps you from murdering people? (Is it concern for the consequences or concern on a moral level?)
4. Have you ever found yourself on the "wrong side of the law"?
5. What is your experience with courts or judges?
6. Would you volunteer for jury duty if it was asked of you?
[He inserts a brief explanation of a jury here.]
7. Do you presume innocence or guilt in a case where someone has been accused of a crime?
[He switches back to video.]
Thank you for your time.

However, ever since the Atma appeared in the Junkyard, things have changed. The Karma Temple's laws were no longer unquestionable, and some were rendered obsolete by the people of the Junkyard.
And how long ago did this happen?
[That doesn't sound healthy.]
I think I'll take you up on that demonstration offer.
[That said, he nods, and steps back from the SFC. Out of sight, the twister mark on his calf lights up, and glowing green lines race across his entire body from that tattoo. Even more lights surround his body, and when they fade away, a demon is left standing in his place.]
Re: [Video]
That is Vayu. Everyone in our world has a demon, but they do not share the same abilities or appearance.
[Ky stares.]
That's terrible.
The demons have brought about death and change. But we have adapted to them.
[Please tell him. He wouldn't mind being rid of Vayu, really, though he does like the fighting advantage that the demon gives.]
Exorcism.
[This is mostly curiosity on his part, for now.]
Do you have Christianity where you come from? OR is some of your history lost?
Christianity? No. The history we have is a record of the battles between tribes. I am familiar with it as a strategist, to anticipate the tactics other tribes might use against us.
Why does he get a say in it?
[He says this like it is the most obvious thing in the world.]
But here he only has as much authority as you allow him.
[Gale sometime acts as the leader of Embryon, rather than the strategist, but Serph is the leader and none of them have ever questioned that.
