Justice | [Video&Text]

Hello, Vatheon.

[Ky's carefully formal, seated at his desk with the SFC set up to create a very formal atmosphere.]

I'm Ky Kiske, and I don't represent any formal group. Nonetheless, I was hoping that you might take the time to answer a few questions. We all live in this place together, and I think there are some steps that can be taken to make this more of a community and a community where we can feel safer.

You can answer either verbally or with a written response of your own, but either way I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your answers with you, to determine what nuance there is.

[He pauses, then sends out the questions by text.]

1. What is the most severe crime where you come from?

2. What is your society's stance on murder?

3. What keeps you from murdering people? (Is it concern for the consequences or concern on a moral level?)

4. Have you ever found yourself on the "wrong side of the law"?

5. What is your experience with courts or judges?

6. Would you volunteer for jury duty if it was asked of you?

[He inserts a brief explanation of a jury here.]

7. Do you presume innocence or guilt in a case where someone has been accused of a crime?

[He switches back to video.]

Thank you for your time.

It's better to die than live there.
destroytheworld: (I'll destroy you)

Nothing can be improved. That world needs to be destroyed. Is that so hard to understand?
destroytheworld: (And I care because...?)

Thought so.

Whatever. It's not like I care if someone understands me or not. The world's going to be destroyed anyway. If I won't be the one who'll do it, that won't change anything. That world is coming to an end either way.
