... I'm sorry, but the God of this place is a giant coral?

At least if it were a giant sea sponge it could do something about getting me dry.

[Hakuba unknots the tie around his neck and wrings it out before stuffing it in his pocket. He shrugs out of his suit jacket as well, and rolls up his sleeves.]

This is quite possibly the most ridiculous kidnapping that I have ever been witness to. And that includes the one in Devon with the witch's coven.

..Ah, whether or not the coral is actually "God" depends on who you ask. The locals will definitely reassure you as much, but there honestly isn't any proof of it being anything other than what it appears. It does possess some interesting healing properties though— much better than a sea sponge's versatility, anyway. [ there's the smallest scoff of amusement before he begins tapping rapidly into his own device. ]

There should be a few towel vendors near your location— and this might help.

I wouldn't think anyone would be interested in adopting a new God. [ it's a passive statement made as the download commences. he's something of a bigot to be honest, though not in the conventional sense.

he nods in response to the question. ] Yes. The influx of new arrivals occurs on a monthly basis, whereas the departures are a little more sporatic. I've no exact dates, but the earliest resident here arrived at least two years prior.

Enclosed conclave, strange religious practices, regular re-population... this is beginning to sound more like a cult than a standard kidnapping.

[Hakuba has a towel slung over his shoulders now and is beginning to look a bit less like a sodden cat, so as a result his mood is slightly better. So Kid actually gets a smile here.]

Kid-san, I should have known I've find you here. Though I can't imagine there's terribly too many jewels to steal in a place like this, is there? [And Hakuba didn't call him Kuroba, he must be feeling generous.]
