Video: Gotta catch up on all the gossip!

[When Zelda first wakes up, her immediate instinct is to take a bath, and that is exactly what she does. It's not until an hour later (and much cleaner) that she bothers to talk to other people. After that, she picks up her SFC to make a video post, looking a little disoriented.]

I do apologize if I worried anyone. I suppose it was only a matter of time before I fell into a sleep coma as well. Has anything of interest happened in the past two weeks? I would appreciate hearing about it.

Oh, uhm... we're... friends, I guess...

[he shrugs casually, but there is a very clear blush on his cheeks when he says it.]

I see. Well, if she happens to think of you as more than a friend, it is possible she was upset by the implication that you think of her as a "nerd". It's not often a word that is said when the user finds someone attractive, after all.

[Unless you're Zelda, of course. She sips her tea calmly.]

Women don't always make sense. They're fairly irrational at times. Even if she said something similar about you, hearing that you think as such about her may have been upsetting.

[How Zelda can say this with a smile? She's experienced some of the strange hormonal swings that come with being a woman after spending seven years as a man. She's well aware that sometimes, it has absolutely nothing to do with logic.]

I meant she said it about herself, first. She said "I like studying. As Soul would put it, I'm a nerd."

If she said it firsf then is it really not okay for me to say it back?

When someone is being self-deprecating, they often want others to refute their opinion.

[Sorry Rin, you have a problem with words? Zelda has a problem adjusting her vocabulary. She doesn't talk down to people, she just keeps saying it until they learn!]

[Ugh. This is irritating. He wasn't entirely sure if it really was his fault at the start, but now he's more convinced than ever.

He huffs again, putting his tea down and crossing his arms over his chest, an annoyed growl accompanying his words.]

So I did screw up then. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to say that! I think she's cool, that's all I was tryin' to tell her!

[His tail even twitches, flicking like an angry cat.]

I didn't say it made much sense. Why don't you tell her that? I'm sure she'll forgive you.

[Rin, your tail is so cute! Zelda takes another sip of tea to avoid reaching out to play with it.]

... I'unno... maybe I should give her a few more days... ?

That's no good! If you put it off, more negative feelings will only build between you two.

[Rin, there is now a scolding index finger right in your face.]

[Zelda sounds genuinely curious. Is this girl a volatile person?]

I'unno! Sometimes girls just get pissed off at me for stupid reasons! Eyebr-- ... Izumo-chan would do that all the time back home! Hell, she got pissed off we tried to throw her a surprise birthday party once! 'course we kinda tried to keep it from her and she was more upset that no one else was gettin' one and we missed a bunch durin' the school year...

[he just kind dissolves in to mutters at this point]

The longer you wait, the longer she will mull over your actions in silence and try to make sense of them on her own.

Just tell her what you think of her honestly. I think it will all clear up then.
