Professor, we did it! We got our homework done! And we're even getting it in early.

Anyway, yeah, lists are better. But like, if you can't do a list, then it's better to use them. You know, stuff like "Anise, Natalia and Tear went to buy things".

That's like a period but not. But I don't use it unless I feel like it.

I don't evan know what that is. Why do you need an extra thing for a peroid if its just a peroid?

You have to use capitel letters to becos that's for names and things. If you don't use one than you don't know if your talking about Colette's dog Carmel or about carmel candy. You also have to use them at the begining of sentances but I don't know why.

(Beside the previous note -> I don't know, she sounds pretty strict. But if you say so.)

… You know, I don't know either. Maybe it's just to let people know you're starting a sentence, but shouldn't that be obvious enough with all the periods and stuff?

But yeah, you also have to capitalize the I. "i am Luke" isn't right, but "I am Luke" is.

Apostrophes can also shorten words, so they're good to have. You can shorten up "is not" to "isn't", and would of to "would've".

Or wait, is it would of or would have? The last one sounds right, but…

Any way that's why grammer's importent. Its also importent becos profesor Raine seys it is. Their's probabley more stuff we forgot but we only have to write five pages so that's it!

Oh - you're Luke, right? I never had to write in Hyrule, so I guess I'm not used to it.

... You never wrote? Not even to remind yourself of anything or...?

Not really! I mean, I knew letters and things... and Saria helped me make a chart to show how big the fish I caught was. But I didn't write reminders or anything.

That's so weird...

[And upon realizing that could be taken the wrong way:] N-Not that... you not writing is weird, it's just... well, I'm just used to writing just about every hour of the day, talking about what happened and everything. I used to hate it, but it just feels weird to try stopping now.

Really? [He pulls a bit of a face at that.] I just talked to Saria about what I did. Besides, a lot of the time we just did the same things during the day. Why did you have to write stuff?

Oh, uh... My doctors said that I could read it all again, in case I lost my memories again. Then at least I could have them written down and maybe trigger something.

[Not that that... matters anymore, or he even lost his memories in the first place. But he won't mention that.]

... It's what he wants to ask, anyway. The knowledge that someone can't go back, not even saying that they will in the future or anything, is enough to make a sick feeling in Luke's stomach show itself. If Link can't go back, then what if...

But Luke already knows he's overstepping a boundary. So, he just smiles in return, a little strained as well.]

The free food is pretty nice, huh? I still can't get used to it.

[Link doesn't answer immediately, caught up in his own thoughts. He's not the only one - if Sola is ever sent back, he'll suffer the same fate. It would take something drastic to be able to return as they are, living, but only provisionally.]

[He could be sent home tomorrow, and have no warning for it, never realise that his life was about to end again.]

Yeah - there wasn't much free food in Hyrule - we had to find our own in the forest, but you had to pay money in the town. I got in trouble the first time I went there since I didn't know that. [Smile - he's trying?]

No kidding? So did I. I actually got arrested for it; how was I supposed to know, anyway? I'd never bought anything for myself before that!

[Luke's trying, too. And why not share an amusing story over his own failure to help with that?]

Really! [Quietly relieved, actually. It's nice to know he's not the only one who found himself in unfamiliar surrounds.] Someone realised I was from the forest and paid for me then told me not to do it again, so I didn't get arrested - were you okay?

[It's not a bad distraction, really.]

Yeah. Things got cleared up, but not before I was practically manhandled by a bunch of - [Oh, no no no, he can't keep going with that. He winces to himself, ducks his head and rubs the back of his neck.] Some of the villagers.

[Huh, bit of a pause there. Link notes it curiously.] That's good. Someone grabbed my shoulder and it was kind of weird because I had never seen someone that big before, but if it was a whole lot of them, that would be kinda scary.

One of them grabbed the back of my collar and hung me up in the air like I was some kind of dog.

...

I mean, I acted badly enough, but still. [...] And they apologized after it all got cleared up. I was still pretty mad though... [It was silly of him, now that he thinks back on it.]

There were dogs in the market at night. [He says it almost absently, not quite realising it was out loud.] It's good that everything got cleared up, though! It would have been unfair if we got into trouble for something we didn't even know.

[He makes a faint noise of acknowledgement with the dogs - market, huh? Like Chesedonia...?

But he pushes that aside in favor of chuckling sheepishly.]

I sure did learn my lesson, anyway. I never did that again. Heh, even now I keep wondering if someone's going to call me a thief or something when I get something from the store.

Me too! Especially if I go buy milk from the Nostalgia Nook then go take food from the food store. If I ever have to pay back all the food I've eaten, I'm gonna be in a lot of trouble. [Said with a bit of a laugh, but it's true. He does eat rather a lot...]
