9th Combo - [Video]

[The feed comes on with Lloyd looking off to the side, talking to someone off screen.]

-sure wish I could have turned homework in like this back home! Then even if I waited until the last minute I could still-

Oh, hey, it's on.

[Lloyd looks into the camera, looking incredibly pleased with himself.]

Professor, we did it! We got our homework done! And we're even getting it in early.

[Before the original two week deadline, in fact! Are they trying to give Raine a heart attack?

He doesn't seem to realize that this isn't locked to Raine at all, that everyone can see this.]

Here, you can read it now. I wrote the stuff in blue, and Luke did the stuff in black.

[That said, he turns the starfish around so that the view takes in a table with five pieces of paper on it.]

and no one would be confuzed. You need apo appo appostrofees to becos they show were your missing letters like in don't.

"apostrophes", I think. We're supposed to spell right too, right?

There's some other ones in here too, but I don't think it's important.

Anyway, yeah, lists are better. But like, if you can't do a list, then it's better to use them. You know, stuff like "Anise, Natalia and Tear went to buy things".

There's also this thing

;

That's like a period but not. But I don't use it unless I feel like it.

(Note off to the side next to the line about spelling -> I dont think so she just sed we were suposed to write about gramer)

I don't evan know what that is. Why do you need an extra thing for a peroid if its just a peroid?

You have to use capitel letters to becos that's for names and things. If you don't use one than you don't know if your talking about Colette's dog Carmel or about carmel candy. You also have to use them at the begining of sentances but I don't know why.

(Beside the previous note -> I don't know, she sounds pretty strict. But if you say so.)

… You know, I don't know either. Maybe it's just to let people know you're starting a sentence, but shouldn't that be obvious enough with all the periods and stuff?

But yeah, you also have to capitalize the I. "i am Luke" isn't right, but "I am Luke" is.

Apostrophes can also shorten words, so they're good to have. You can shorten up "is not" to "isn't", and would of to "would've".

Or wait, is it would of or would have? The last one sounds right, but…

(And a small note -> Guy would know, ask him.)

They both sound fine to me.

Any way that's why grammer's importent. Its also importent becos profesor Raine seys it is. Their's probabley more stuff we forgot but we only have to write five pages so that's it!

Lloyd Irving

Luke fon Fabre

(Note at the bottom -> Man I'm so glad thats over.)

(Me too.)

You had a diary? Did you write everything that happened in your journey in it?

[He probably went on a journey too, didn't he? It'd make sense if he did, since he never had to write a paper and so probably didn't go to school, at least not like the school Colette went to.]

I wrote letters sometimes but not about things that happened most of the time.

Yeah, I did! For a while I kind of had to. But now... I don't know. It just felt weird to not write in it. [And after a pause:] And I don't even have to anymore... [The doctors said it was just in case he lost his memory again. And he never lost it in the first place.]

[She tilts her head. Asking why he had to probably wouldn't be the best thing...]

If it feels weird not to write in it, then you should just get another and write in that one! I don't think it matters if you have to or not.

I already got one with a friend I made here. Still, it's already filling up pretty fast! It's kind of small compared to mine. [Which was this big fancy blinged out one, but hey. It's been with him for years.] I keep wondering if I can get mine back sometime... Probably not.

[Well...people had gotten things at the Christmas thing right after Zelos arrived....]

Maybe it will show up! There was a festival where people got things that could fit in a stocking in this place's December. That'll be in a while, but if you're still here, you might be able to get it then!

Lorelei Redecan? [She tilts her head. That's something that's different.]

Yeah, the months here are different.

Um...January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December.

It's June, nearly July right now. I've been here since the beginning of last December.

[He ticks them off and mouthes them as she says it, eyes narrowing more with confusion. And once she's done, and clarifies...]

... What? No, that's too short! That's only twelve months, there's supposed to be thirteen!
clumsyblonde: (4 - canto)

[personal profile] clumsyblonde 2012-08-19 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
[She blinks.]

I'm pretty sure this place only has twelve... Your world has thirteen?
fabrecation: (I DO have a point tyvm)

[personal profile] fabrecation 2012-08-21 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah! [And the way he recites the months sounds more like a rhythm of sorts, like he's reciting from something he learned as a child.] Rem Decan, Sylph Decan, Undine Decan, Gnome Decan, Ifrit Decan, Shadow Decan, Shadow Redecan, Ifrit Redecan, Gnome Redecan, Undine Redecan, Sylph Redecan, Luna Redecan and Lorelei Redecan! See, thirteen!
clumsyblonde: (4 - canto)

[personal profile] clumsyblonde 2012-08-25 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
Huh.

[A rhythm or rhyme...But wait--She blinks.]

Sylph, Undine, Gnome, Shadow, Luna, and...[He'd said it a bit differently but it could still be--] Efreet? Your months are named after the Summon Spirits or the elements? [She doesn't know about Rem or Lorelei, but it kind of seems like that.]
fabrecation: (Neverland)

[personal profile] fabrecation 2012-08-25 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, they're aggregate fonons in my -

[Wait. Wait, hold on.]

... You know about them? But - wait, you're not from Auldrant, so...
clumsyblonde: (4 - canto)

[Video] I coulda sworn I'd sent this

[personal profile] clumsyblonde 2012-09-03 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
Aggregate fonons? [She tilts her head.]

I don't know about fonons, but in my world, we have Summon Spirits. Aska and Luna are light, Undine is water, Efreet is fire, and the Sylph are wind. And then they have their opposites; Shadow is darkness, Volt is lightning, Celcius is ice, and Gnome is earth. And then there are Origin and Maxwell.
fabrecation: (Question marks?)

[Video] happens to the best of us

[personal profile] fabrecation 2012-09-08 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Summon Spirits? I don't know about those, and some of those I don't really recognize... but some of them are in Auldrant, too! When a bunch of a certain type of fonons gather together, they become sentient. So... sort of like a spirit, I guess? We've got Shadow, uh... Gnome, Sylph, Undine... Efreet, right, Rem and Lorelei. Sorry, I don't know much about this.
clumsyblonde: (5 - vobis)

[Video] and then I went on haitus orz

[personal profile] clumsyblonde 2012-10-02 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
That's what we call them in Aselia! A friend of mine is a Summoner, so she can make pacts with the Spirits and then Summon them to help us in battle or get us out of a tight spot! When a lot of a certain type of mana gathers together and becomes sentient, it makes the Summon Spirit. So mana and fonons sound kind of similar with how they make Summon Spirits, even if you don't call them that in Auldrant!

Heheh, you don't need to apologize! I only know as much as I do about them because we had to make pacts with all of them and I was traveling with the Professor. I don't think I'd know as much as I do if we didn't need to make pacts with all of them.
