[Wow, Darkleer is actually communicating with the network on a whole for once instead of being a miserable hermit. Must be a special occasion. Does anyone know his wiggling day?]

Now then. Have we all cleansed ourselves of the mess and done whatever strange death rituals foreign species feel the need to do?

[Okay, maybe it is just Darkleer being a coldhearted dick. Eh.]

I believe we should focus on the more important matter here. I have seen discussions scattered throughout the network, but it would be best to have all our thoughts and speculations focused in one place on both the destruction of those so-called faeries and on the recent appearance of that Carol individual.

For those of you who are oblivious and prone to missing the obvious, things are changing in this place. It would be best to be prepared.

[Don't be fooled, he's not doing this to be nice. He's doing what any troll knows to do: looking out for himself and the few he cares about. If that means even faintly working with others, well, he'll learn to deal.]

Since your children in particular seem to be taking this badly, perhaps it would benefit you to know that those things which followed us were nothing more than mere robots. The technology may have been organic in nature, but it was still nothing truly living. No pain, no loss of life.

The ruins of the church were explored; I also sent a message to the one who took a look at it. Whoever runs this place has great control over time. They pull people from different points and return them at exactly the same time as when they left. If the high priestess has those powers as well, she may not even be in this time anymore.

That does lend credence to the theory about there being at least two groups though. If they don't know where or when she is, clearly they didn't send her there. Or.. then. Whatever.

[He's not! He's on his way OUT of there. Yep. His hive is pretty neat any way, no signs of how he's been, so he'll just quickly move outside and hit the canopy and above and find some really high tree to chill in.]

[ urgent feed from the clinic. Doc leaning forward on the desk, fingertips pressed together and looking the most serious. ]

It seems my input is needed here.

[ A pause to take his glasses off a moment and massage the area between his eyes in order to recall events better. ]

Carol had informed me of the "clinic getting busy" sometime in the future though what this means exactly is beyond me. An attack on the city? An epidemic? At any rate, would it be too much to request a few volunteers should it come to this? I find Doctor Stein, the Medic and myself too few a number to deal with a sudden influx of patients.

As for the second matter, I'm afraid I can't say much about Alpha. He mostly kept to himself as I kept to my end of the clinic. We rarely spoke, truth be told. However, there was that one day he failed to show up for work. It was... May of last year, I believe?

This is reminding me of something...

[Darkleer trails off for a moment before he speaks again.]

When the island was first discovered, another individual discovered some documents which suggested the presence of the scientists. Mentioned in them was how the locals are not foreigners but also not knowing participants in the experiments.

Thank you for responding so quickly, Doctor. Did she truly say that? I possess some healing magic, though my knowledge of alien anatomy is... touchy at best. I would be glad to help if it comes to that.

[She leans forward onto her own SFC again, pulling up the documents that Motochika had shown her, the ones that were taken from the church. She sends a copy to Darkleer and leaves it up for Zelos to read.]

Never it be said I was one to risk the safety of this city. My position as a doctor makes this one of my priorities. Carol did say that but refused to give any more information concerning any future events. Perhaps the faries exploding was a sign of things to come?

Perhaps it would be wise to alert whatever defense force we've managed to amass. Just in case, of course.

[ A beat. ]

Any and all assistance is welcome, even those skilled in non-conventional healing methods.

That is an entirely understandable request. If anyone with skills which could be geared towards that sort of area, I shall be sure to redirect them your way. [A brief pause.] I'm not an expert when it comes to human biology, but I do know that of a troll's, and that of a variety of animals. I am certain I could catch on quickly to the more complicated aspects of it. If assistance is needed, I will see what I can do.

I have alerted the current leader of the defense force. As for Miss Carol... I believe she might disapprove of whatever actions are going to be taken next. She seemed to want to offer us help, but not so much so that she would put herself in danger.

Looks like they monitor the network too. Is there any indication on how old this document is? Or if we can find more of it?

Perhaps she did but I'm a little curious as to how much she knows, really. If this is some... experiment of sorts and she just an intern in a laboratory, as per my theories, they can't have told her the direct details.

As of October, I'd been here a year at the very least then I was taken back home. Give or take two months later, I was returned.

[ A brief pause to think. ]

There was a man by the name of Luka Redgrave who was researching the city a while back but he has yet to return. The city seems to have taken him back. However, I believe his notes are still around though I'm not quite sure as to who has them. There are also some documents that were found in the church, I believe? More than a year ago.

Luka Redgrave... thank you. I will look up his past open posts on the network and see who he was friendly with.

And finally finds a certain SFC on the ground. A sigh, and he bends down to pick it up. Well, now he knows why their conversation cut short...]

I did catch a snatch of his research, though and will be happy to tell you what I know. There were some speculations he did over the radio before.

That radio... perhaps you lot can make use of it in organizing the city should the need arise?

[Anyways. Just chilling as high up on this huge tree as he can without making it tilt at the tip. His ears flicker a little bit, no sure ...what movement that is down below, but he knew what he was doing dropping the communicator... Darkleer would find him eventually, and he's already been a jerk enough.]
