You havve made the stupendous mistake of kidnappin one Commander Orphaner Dualscar, destroyer a wworlds an' scourge a the stars.

In light a your obvvious ignorance, and the admittedly pleasant surroundins, I'll be generous. You havve half an hour to explain wwhere I am, howw I got here, and wwhy, and to showw me the exit. It's the ocean, I can make my owwn wway from there.

_{[With the message sent, Demyx pockets his SFC and opens a corridor to the coral. H'okay. Now to find this Dualscar guy. It can't be that hard to find a tro--Oh, there!]}

[Dualscar is sitting at a table poking at his SFC and glancing around periodically at the crowd around him. He is expecting a blueblood troll, so his eyes pass over Demyx disinterestedly until he hails him]

Do you wwant somethin?

_{[And Demyx will just stare at Dualscar for a few moments in a mixture of awe and curiosity. The only seadwellers he knows are Feferi and Eridan, but this guy right here takes the cake in Intimidating-but-Awesome-Looking.]}

Ah, just to take you up to the surface. You're, uh... Dualscar, right? I'm Demyx.

[He rises to his feet and blinks. Oh for fuck's sake. He'd been an idiot, and that's annoying, but the alien doesn't seem to be holding it against him.]

I thought you wwere a troll. I should a realized. You can swwim?

_{[He grins a bit, stuffing his hands in his pockets.]}

S'no biggy, man! Honestly just between you and me, I'd be a pretty lousy troll. But yeah, I can swim.

[He gets to his feet]

_{[He starts walking towards the elevator, motioning the troll to follow him.]}

That wwould be a problem. [He follows, observing the pale-haired little pink alien with some vague curiosity.] So you're one a the humans that infest this place, then.

Human? I guess you could say that. _{[He glances over his shoulder to get another look at Dualscar.]} What about you? I mean, I get you're a seadweller and all that, but I've never really met one like you before.

Wwhat are you askin', exactly? I'm a sea-dwwellin' troll.

Yeah, but you look way more intimidating with the scars 'n all that and you called yourself 'Commander'. What's it all about?

[Oh that] I'm a military commander wwhere I come from. I command a fleet a ships, an I'vve been in many wwars an battles in servvice to the Empire.

_{[A beat, and he stops at the elevator to wait for the doors to open, then he's stepping inside and waves the troll in.]}

[He steps in a bit warily, looking about the inside of the cubicle. This could be some kind of trap, but...why?]

_{[It'd be the best trap he could ever come up with, that's for sure. Going uuuup!]}

Whew, the perks gotta be good if you're under someone with 'Imperious' in the name. Is she the top troll in uh... Alternia, right?

Yes. [He is watching their surroundings as they rise] In all a the galaxy, actually. Her Empire goes beyond just the cradle a our civvilization, an she rules it all.

[His eyes land on Demyx again] Wwhat is your wworld like?

I'd hate to get on her bad side.

_{[He pauses.]}

Well... The one I lived at before coming here was always really dark. We'd get rain every now and then too, but I usually stayed inside the castle or I went to another world for a change of scenery. There's only so much white a guy can take before he starts to go a little crazy, yanno? But before that place, I lived underwater--kinda like this, but without the whole... _{[He waves a hand.]} Barrier thing. Long story short, I used to be half fish. Humans call 'em 'merfolk'. Some things happened and I got shunted outta that world and found myself with a pair of legs.

[He listens with some curiosity] So humans havve a sea dwwellin' vvariant, too?

Eh, I guess you could say that. In some worlds merfolk are kind of a myth, but that's all fine and dandy with me. Who knows what some people would do to us, yanno? We usually keep to ourselves.

Wwhere I come from, wwe sea dwwellers rule. [He shrugs] But wwe havve certain advvantages, that maybe your race lacks.

Wwell, for one, the Empress of our race has the ability to cull entire blood colours wwith a wwhim. If the lowwbloods get antsy, it's not hard to get them back under control.

How does that blood thing work, anyways? I mean without cutting someone, how do you guys know who has what color blood?
