Fifteenth Flame : video; { brother from another mother... ?

[Rin is in the Golden Victory kitchen, though for once his apron is off. His hair is slightly damp, and he's dressed in something a little odd (the one in the center) compared to his usual work uniform. No, there's no costumes this month, but he has a legitimate reason for being in something that looks more like proper host attire.

He also doesn't look too happy, either.]

So I got to start my day off with a damn blender explodin' all over me. But y'know... that ain't what's got me so irritated.

I'm hearin' some odd grumblin' around the club today. What's this crap 'bout "another Okumura"? And why the hell is everyone tellin' this guy shit about me?!

[He's slooowly starting to piece things together. If Night was an exorcist - albeit an exorcist from some other version of True Cross - then he'd want to go after other demons. So... obviously his friends were looking out for him, making sure he didn't unwittingly become a target to some one who didn't know the truth about him.]

[Rin stares at the SFC for a good long minute after Night has already hung up. He's still not sure about this, but he quietly mutters to Fai that he's going out for lunch. He stops at the locker room to get his sword out, putting it on his back before heading out.

It takes all of five minutes to get out to the park, and he just finds a tree to lean against while waiting, hand in his pocket around his SFC. If something weird comes up, he's not going to risk going toe to toe with a full exorcist alone.]

[Already in the park it doesn't take long for Night to hunt down Rin. The boy's smell was definitely unique in comparison to other halfbreeds he's met over the years.

Coming up from the side, hands in pockets and his sword case slung over a shoulder, he gives Rin a relaxed smile.]

You're shorter than I imagined!

... I ain't short.

[But he isn't going to make a big deal over it either. He just grunts and looks away, tail twitching in annoyance and uncertainty. There's something familiar tugging at his chest, but he can't put his finger on it, and it's making him uneasy.]

Not terribly, no.

[He notices the tail. Oh boy.] Alright, so I might as well cut to the chase so we're both on the same page.

I know you're a halfbreed and the son of Satan. You inherited his flames and the source of your power comes from your sword. You also have a few brothers here I'm told? Yukio, Faust, and the Earth King himself! To be honest at this point I'm more concerned about Amaimon than you right now. [A sigh.]

[Geez, guys. Just give his whole life story out why don't you...

But he lets out a sigh and runs a hand through his hair, musing to himself. He knows why they did it. It keeps him from being hunted, and he's grateful for that. But he still can't help the uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach.

I wouldn't be that worried 'bout him. He likes pickin' on me more than anyone, and he's chilled out a lot since gettin' here.
