Video: Public Service Princess
It seems as if the arrival cycle is over now. Allow me to extend a belated welcome to everyone who was pulled into Vatheon this past cycle. My name is Zelda, and I work with the Welcoming Committee here. Please drop by if you have any questions about our current situation as foreigners in the city. You are also free to ask me here, though there are some topics I would prefer to not discuss over the network.
I would also like to encourage new arrivals that are capable of fighting to look into joining the Defense Force. While things are generally peaceful here, there are some dangerous situations from time to time. Death is not permanent in this place, but it is still rather traumatic and we should do our best to avoid having it happen. If you are interested, please get in touch with Serph or Ky Kiske.

You could try starting with some basic apple pie recipes from the library as a base. Once you get used to the general ingredients and how they taste, it will be easier to figure out what your mother used in her pie.
[Action]
you mean right now? What about the cookies? [And she looks back at the other stuff]
Or...do we even have enough ingredients for it?
[Action]
[And there's the timer! Zelda puts on oven mits and takes them out.]
One thing many people forget is to put their cookies on a cooling rack. The tray is hot, so if you do not remove them quickly the bottom of the cookie may burn.
[Spatula in hand, the princess sets out to save the cookies from that grisly fate.]
[Action]
[But the fact that Zelda called her silly makes her smile a bit. It looks like she was starting to relax a bit and was having fun!]
Oooohhh, that's probably why my cookies are always burnt! [giggle] I always tried to make it by the book but something just turns out wrong! So thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to pay attention the next time around!
[Salute!]
It's a promise, I swear it will be!
[Action]
[She's not entirely sure what they have to work with other than "frosting" and "lots of sprinkles", but it should be sufficient.]
[Action]
Um, let's see... [She began looking around the kitchen for some of the brings she brought]
I wasn't sure what kind of frosting goes well with gingerbread cookies so I bought 3 different kinds! There's cream cheese, chocolate frosting, and buttercream!
...I just realized. There's a lot of different kinds of frosting isn't there? Haha, I thought baking was hard enough but now we need to get the right kind of frosting too to match!
Baking is difficult!
[Action]
I think that buttercream or cream cheese would be the best. Chocolate has a somewhat overpowering taste. We should be able to get the smoothest appearance with buttercream, so let's use that.
[Process of elimination makes it simple! Zelda looks far too serious while she's talking it out with herself, though. Anyone watching them would probably get a laugh.]
[Action]
Um...okay then? [blink blink.] Would it taste better if we use that instead of chocolate or cream cheese?
[Action]
[As far as taste goes though, she prefers them fresh out of the oven.]
[Action]
[Now she really wants to eat one! So don't mind Bianca quickly using one of the knives to spread it around a bit!]
[Action]
[Zelda looks amused as she gets two cookies so they can put the buttercream on one and the cream cheese on the other, breaking both neatly in half for a proper taste test.]
Hmm... I do think I prefer the buttercream.
[Action]
I'm good with which ever one you want! I think they both taste really good, I'm just happy they turned out just fine!
[Good thing she's not really picky about food. ...Maybe except any foods that are too spicy. Her poor tongue!]
[Action]
Here you are. By the time we finish off a cup of this, I think they should be cool enough to frost and decorate properly.
[She takes a sip, letting out a satisfied sigh. Chai was a good choice, it really did go with the ginger.]
[Action]
So...what kind of tea is this again? It seems really weird but I don't think I ever smelled anything like this before.
It smells like something my mom would make sometimes back home...but nothing like this!
[She's only use to the really basic stuff!]
[Action]
[In this case, Zelda prefers to drink it straight.]
[Action]
Well, I guess I can give it a try...
[DRUMROLLS. THIS IS IT, THIS IS WHAT BIANCA WILL THINK OF CHAI TEA FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE. WHAT WILL SHE THINK OF IT?!]
[sip]
Hm...I like it! It's not really what I'm use to but...yeah, I think it tastes really good! I might add some milk later to see what it tastes like! But if this is what Chai is suppose to be, I might have to try some more later!
[Action]
I'm glad you like it. It is a little strong, but I find it to be invigorating.
[The princess finishes her cup, then chooses one of the star-shaped cookies, starting to look through the sprinkles and select ones she feels to be appropriate for putting on a star. They'll need to frost it first of course, but no reason she can't plan ahead!]
[Action]
Hey, Zelda, can I ask you something? Does the chai really bring out the flavors in the cookies? I usually go with milk and cookies but...I didn't know tea can do that too...
[Pause]
I guess I still have a lot to learn about baking and cooking in general huh?
[Action]
[She's hardly an expert, though. Zelda just tends to prefer tea to most other beverages. Besides, milk can be added to tea!]
[Action]
[Pause]
But I suppose I should learn and try new things while I'm here. [And there was a small smile] At least I'm getting to spend some time here with everyone else...
[Action]
[And being separated from them, too. She has to keep trying to unravel the functions of the coral, there are some people she absolutely doesn't want to lose.]
[Action]
Y-Yeah, it is! I would never found out there were that many different worlds out there! Especially when there are so many interesting ones too! I would have never known about the world the trolls come from! Or even the idea that animals can talk and walk just like us too!
[But then...there was another pause]
...I wonder how the others are doing back home... I wonder do they remember their time here or do they just forget and move on...
[Action]
[A little sentimental coming from someone like Zelda perhaps, but she does believe in it.]
[Action]
Yeah, you're right, there's no way we can forget our time here! I certainly don't. [Pause]
There was a lot of things I learned here and...some of them might not be happy but I don't want to forget them. They're what makes me happy and sad so there's no way I want it to be gone!
Because I want to be strong! So one day...those memories won't hurt anymore and I can move on from it.
[Action]
Painful things should be remembered as well. You are right, you will grow stronger from them.
[Zelda reaches out to check the temperature of the cookies, then smiles at Bianca.]
We should be set to decorate them now.
