Even if they are strange books in a strange barrier-ed place without any knights or sword stairs or palaces or quarters like he'd heard from the cats. ]

[After walking for hours and being fed some stupid story about curses and traveling to other worlds, the thirteen year old Zelos finds himself just looking for somewhere to sit. This large building seemed the nicest and even though he's irritated (or secretly relieved) to find it's a library, he's plunked himself down in a chair anyway. That's where he's sprawled, arms crossed tightly but sideways with one foot on the arm of the chair and the other hanging lazily off the front, when he hears the clamor of books and subsequent squeak of pain.

For half a moment Zelos seems concerned when he goes to investigate, pulling tomes from the floor to free the little white haired girl from the debris. His tone is still edged with exasperation but the words are gentle at least.]

You alright? You should be more careful.

[dukeling]

[ Duke scrubs at his face a little, really with those over-sized sleeves, and peers at the newcomer. ]

I didn't think it was stuck...

Still, look at the mess you've made. You're going to get scolded.

[With a heavy sigh and a distinctly put-upon expression, Zelos starts to help put the books back where they belong. She's really too little to deserve getting scolded just for an accident.]

[ The librarian would be upset at him if they got damaged though. Duke is going to be very carefully checking for bent pages as he helps the red-haired boy ... well, pick them up. ]

He's going to scrub at his face to make sure he isn't crying. ]

[He pauses in stacking the books.]

Which of these did you want? [That had to have been why the books fell, right? Though why the child is reading is beyond him. Maybe he just has a lot of free time, and he has a Nynaeve or sisters who will find him fast if he makes any trouble.]
