Well, this certainly wasn't how I was expecting to spend my day...

[Shiro's face is a bit obscured at the moment, as his SFC is sat down next to a rice cooker (how did he get a hold of that? The world may never know) as his fingers work over a puzzle.]

ah, no... not quite... but as far as first curses go, this isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be!

... no, that was close...

[He keeps working at it, but not a second later, it finally clicks and the cooker opens up - empty currently, but at least now he can start to make his rice.]

Wonderful! This is kind of fun! How is everyone else fairing with their puzzles? I'd be more than happy to assist, if some one would be willing to pass some dinner my way in payment!

[He bends down, giving the SFC a completely innocent, 'you know you want to feed me and have me help' smile before shutting his SFC off.]

*Selphie leans over his shoulder, watching very carefully as he fills in the puddle, tilting her head this way and that, like she's trying to figure out some kind of unknown code. When he's done, she grabs his arm in a hug before pushing the door wide open*

Awesome Shiro!~ Now it's dinner time!

Wonderful! I can't wait!

[All the big smiles for her.]

*She ushers him through the door of her tiny apartment, and heads straight for the kitchen*

*Selphie opens up all the cupboards the reveal plenty packs of instant noodles, and many different kinds of snacks*

[As far as Shiro is concerned, it all looks good, just so long as he's not the one cooking it.

He smiles calmly, waiting for her to choose.]

*From her stash of many different kinds and flavours of noodles, Selphie pulls out a few variations*

Okay! So...I got noodles, or I got noodles or...noodles.

Unless you wanna skip straight to the cake, of course.

Ehehe... good as that sounds, noodles should probably come first.

Ookaay! You are about to witness the great chef at work!

*She claps her hands dramatically, spins around, and switches on the kettle*

In that case, I'll simply watch the great chef and stay out of her way!

[This is the best plan. You don't want him helping, Selphie.]

Alriight!

*Selphie gives a sharp salute before turning to pull out two bowls and two sets of chopsticks, and she drops the dry noodles into each bowl*

If you like, you can go sit down on the sofa while you wait. Want something to drink too?

Oh, yes please, that would be wonderful!

[Just going to go flop on the couch now.]

*Once the kettle is boiled, Selphie pours it into the bowls, adds the flavourings, etc. And, she may have a habit of talking to herself as she goes through the process, filling two glasses with orange juice. It all goes on a tray and, inch by inch, she brings it through to the living room*

Here...we...go...

[As promised, Shiro watches from the living room, an amused but warm smile on his face. She reminds him of some one back home...

But that's a bit on the sad side of things, and he doesn't want to think about that right now.

When she starts bringing the tray out, he sits up a bit, looking concerned.]

Ah... do you need help?

*Stubbornly determined. Selphie shakes her head, biting her lip with the concentration of carrying the tray. The moment she gets to the couch, Selphie bends to put it on the table, only spilling some orange juice*

Awesome! I did it! And don't worry, I'll take that glass.

*There's so much triumph on her face as she sits next to him*

[Shiro can't help but let out a laugh at that. It's almost adorable, how she did that.

Nodding, he turns to the food on the tray and puts his hands together.]

Thank you for the meal!

*She glances at him, a little embarrassed, and sticks her chopsticks in her bowl, swirling the noodles. She's not sure he'd thank her if he'd tried the noodles but she accepts it anyway*

*Lifting her bowl carefully, she tips it towards him*

[Shiro matches the gesture carefully.]

Yes, to sudoku!

*Selphie smiles, resting her bowl carefully on her knee*

So Shiro, have you been in Vatheon long?

*She's pretty sure she hasn't seen him around anyway. Surely she'd notice that hair*

No, not at all. I was with the group of arrivals before this one, actually.

[He does sort of stick out like a sore thumb.]

Oh! And what do you think? You settled in okay?

*She takes another big mouthful of noodles, clearly very hungry ~ she felt like she'd been trying to solve that sudoku puzzle for hoourss*

[He digs in to his own noodles for a pause, but adds in after he's gotten a fairly big bite down:]

There are some people from my world here.

Wow, really? You're so lucky!

*She mops some drops of juice from her glass before taking a sip*

I was here a whole year before anyone from my world showed up. There's only two of us now. How many of you are there?

Four now, including myself.

I've heard people can stay for a long time, or go home relatively quickly. A year is still quite a while...

Four? Wow! You really are lucky. That must be nice..

*She gives a small nod*

Even I've been home for a few months, then I was back here again. Overall, though, it's been more than two years. So yeah...it's possible to stick around for a while.

Aheh... it... would be. If one of them didn't hate me so much. The other two... well, Izumo-san seems to like me well enough. Mikoto-san is more or less indifferent, which I suppose is better than hate.

[Two years? Wow...]

You must have a lot of stories then!

One of them hates you? Really? *Selphie pulls a face at this, not really understanding how someone could hate Shiro. At mention of Mikoto's name, though, she gives a nod*

He-ey! I met him, before. Mikoto. When he first got here. He was badly wounded.

*As for stories, Selphie smiles gently and shakes her head*
