this might sound silly but could i have a hug?

[ She's not really directing this at anybody in particular. She just found out parts of her family are no longer here and she's ... not handling it too well. She'll take a hug from anyone willing to give one. ]

[She stays like that silently for few moments.]

Do you want to tell me why you wanted a hug? You don't have to if you don't want to.

[Saying that she doesn't want to might not be a lie after all. That promise allows for "I don't want to talk about it right now".]

[ They promised that they would talk to each other, so ... ]

Mitsuhide's gone. So are Motochika, and Gracia. And Kuro ...

[ And there are others, too. Others that she's lost in this place. ]

[Oh. They're gone. Colette just tightens her hold on Kohaku. No matter how many times it happens, that's always hard.

She would say that hopefully Kohaku'll see them again, except...even if she does, they might not remember.]

...I'm sorry.

[ Kohaku shakes her head. ]

Don't be ... s'not your fault.

[ She clings a little tighter to Colette, though. ]

A-ah...okay. [She's still sorry it happened, that doesn't have to have anything to do with it being her fault.

She increases her own grip on Kohaku a little, still careful that she won't accidentally hurt the older girl.]

I'm usually okay with things like this ... it's hard, but I'm glad I'm able to get to meet them, and be friends with them, even if our time together won't last forever.

So many people at around the same time, though ...

[ Kohaku stops talking there. Colette can probably see what happened to her emotional state after that. ]

[She tilts her head against Kohaku's, humming with a bit of understanding.

Losing one is hard enough, but....so many. So many of them gone at once... It'd be a whole lot harder.]

[ That hum tells her that Colette understood. She knew she would. Colette was just that sort of person. Kohaku sighs, burying her face into the other girl's shoulder. ]

Please ... would you stay with me for a while?

[ action ]

[clumsyblonde]

[She nods against the other girl's shoulder.

She will always be there if she's asked and aware of it.]

I'll be here as long as you want me to be.

[ action ]

[spiria]

Thank you ... we'll go for ice cream later or something. Okay?

[ She'll just keep clinging to Colette for the time being. ]

[She gives a tiny nod again.]

Mm. I think that sounds like a good idea.

Okay ...

[ At this point, she can't hold back the tears she was holding back before. She buries her face into Colette's shoulder again and starts to cry again. ]

[Colette just hums again, keeping her hold on Kohaku.

Her crying like this is actually kind of familiar, because of back then, but she's not going to give that more than a momentary acknowledgement.

The crying this time is for a much different reason.]
